Surah An-Nahl, Ayah 67

وَمِنْ ثَمَرٰتِ النَّخِیْلِ وَالْاَعْنَابِ تَتَّخِذُوْنَ مِنْهُ سَكَرًا وَّرِزْقًا حَسَنًا ؕ اِنَّ فِیْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰیَةً لِّقَوْمٍ یَّعْقِلُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Wamin thamarati annakheeli wal-aAAnabitattakhithoona minhu sakaran warizqan hasanan innafee thalika laayatan liqawmin yaAAqiloon
Saheeh International
And from the fruits of the palm trees and grapevines you take intoxicant and good provision. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who reason.
Al-Mukhtasar fi Tafsir
There is a lesson for you in the provision We give you from the fruits of date palms and grapes. From them you make intoxicants that affect the mind, which are not good, and you also take from them a good provision that is of benefit to you such as dates, raisins, vinegar and trickle. In this there truly is a sign of Allah’s power and favour to His servants for people who use their reason, for they are the ones who take heed.
