Common questions

Why does Arafah ask for my location?: One location fix calculates prayer times and Qibla on your iPhone and searches Apple Maps for nearby mosques. Without GPS you can pick a prayer city under More → Settings → Prayer times; it stays on your iPhone, but Nearby Mosques still needs your current location.
Does Arafah work offline?: Its core does: prayer calculations, Quran and recitation, hadith, duas, tasbih, Qibla and your own records. Nearby-mosque search and fresh zakat prices need a connection.
How do I change prayer calculation settings?: Open More → Settings → Prayer times. You can change the prayer city, calculation method, Asr school, high-latitude rule and per-prayer adjustments.
Why didn’t a prayer notification make a sound?: Check Arafah’s notification permission and sound in iOS Settings, the prayer’s own adhan setting in Arafah, and that the iPhone is not muted. iOS mute and Focus settings are respected.
Does supporting Arafah unlock anything?: No. Support is an optional one-time tip for Arafah’s upkeep. Every feature stays available either way, and version 1.0 has no recurring charge.
