قَالَ اِنَّهٗ یَقُوْلُ اِنَّهَا بَقَرَةٌ لَّا ذَلُوْلٌ تُثِیْرُ الْاَرْضَ وَلَا تَسْقِی الْحَرْثَ ۚ مُسَلَّمَةٌ لَّا شِیَةَ فِیْهَا ؕ قَالُوا الْـٰٔنَ جِئْتَ بِالْحَقِّ ؕ فَذَبَحُوْهَا وَمَا كَادُوْا یَفْعَلُوْنَ ۟۠
Transliteration
Qala innahu yaqoolu innahabaqaratun la thaloolun tutheeru al-arda walatasqee alhartha musallamatun la shiyata feehaqaloo al-ana ji/ta bilhaqqi fathabahoohawama kadoo yafAAaloon
Saheeh International
He said, "He says, 'It is a cow neither trained to plow the earth nor to irrigate the field, one free from fault with no spot upon her.'" They said, "Now you have come with the truth." So they slaughtered her, but they could hardly do it.
Al-Mukhtasar fi Tafsir
Then Moses told them that Allah said the cow was not used for ploughing or irrigating the earth; she had no faults, and no marks of a different colour other than her yellow. They then replied that now he had brought them a detailed description, correctly identifying the cow. They sacrificed it, after almost not having done it, due to all their arguing and stubbornness.
