Surah Ghafir, Ayah 34

وَلَقَدْ جَآءَكُمْ یُوْسُفُ مِنْ قَبْلُ بِالْبَیِّنٰتِ فَمَا زِلْتُمْ فِیْ شَكٍّ مِّمَّا جَآءَكُمْ بِهٖ ؕ حَتّٰۤی اِذَا هَلَكَ قُلْتُمْ لَنْ یَّبْعَثَ اللّٰهُ مِنْ بَعْدِهٖ رَسُوْلًا ؕ كَذٰلِكَ یُضِلُّ اللّٰهُ مَنْ هُوَ مُسْرِفٌ مُّرْتَابُ ۟ۚۖ
Transliteration
Walaqad jaakum yoosufu min qablu bilbayyinatifama ziltum fee shakkin mimma jaakum bihi hattaitha halaka qultum lan yabAAatha Allahu minbaAAdihi rasoolan kathalika yudillu Allahuman huwa musrifun murtab
Saheeh International
And Joseph had already come to you before with clear proofs, but you remained in doubt of that which he brought to you, until when he died, you said, 'Never will Allāh send a messenger after him.' Thus does Allāh leave astray he who is a transgressor and skeptic."
Al-Mukhtasar fi Tafsir
Joseph came to you before Moses with clear proof for the oneness of Allah, but you remained in doubt and denial of what he brought, until when he died you increased in doubt and uncertainty, and you said: “Allah will never send a messenger after him”. Just as you are misguided from the truth, Allah leads astray every person who trespasses the limits of Allah and doubts His oneness.
