Surah Ghafir, Ayah 75

ذٰلِكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَفْرَحُوْنَ فِی الْاَرْضِ بِغَیْرِ الْحَقِّ وَبِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَمْرَحُوْنَ ۟ۚ
Transliteration
Thalikum bima kuntum tafrahoonafee al-ardi bighayri alhaqqi wabima kuntumtamrahoon
Saheeh International
[The angels will say], "That was because you used to exult upon the earth without right and you used to behave insolently.
Al-Mukhtasar fi Tafsir
It will be said to them: “That punishment which you are suffering is due to your rejoicing over the idolatry you were upon and due to your excess in rejoicing.
