اَمْ یَقُوْلُوْنَ افْتَرٰی عَلَی اللّٰهِ كَذِبًا ۚ فَاِنْ یَّشَاِ اللّٰهُ یَخْتِمْ عَلٰی قَلْبِكَ ؕ وَیَمْحُ اللّٰهُ الْبَاطِلَ وَیُحِقُّ الْحَقَّ بِكَلِمٰتِهٖ ؕ اِنَّهٗ عَلِیْمٌۢ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُوْرِ ۟
Transliteration
Am yaqooloona iftara AAala Allahikathiban fa-in yasha-i Allahu yakhtim AAalaqalbika wayamhu Allahu albatila wayuhiqqualhaqqa bikalimatihi innahu AAaleemun bithatiassudoor
Saheeh International
Or do they say, "He has invented about Allāh a lie"? But if Allāh willed, He could seal over your heart. And Allāh eliminates falsehood and establishes the truth by His words. Indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts.
Al-Mukhtasar fi Tafsir
One of the claims of the idolaters is that they say: Muhammad has invented a lie against his Lord by his claim of being His messenger. One of the things that confirm that the Qur’ān is revelation from Allah is that if He willed He could have made you forget this Qur’ān. But Allah removes falsehood and establishes the truth. This is what occurred to the call of the idolaters, which was removed, and the call of Islam which was established. He knows what is in the hearts of His servants. Nothing is hidden from Him.
