وَمَاۤ اُرْسِلُوْا عَلَیْهِمْ حٰفِظِیْنَ ۟ؕ
Transliteration
Wama orsiloo AAalayhim hafitheen
Saheeh International
But they had not been sent as guardians over them.
Al-Mukhtasar fi Tafsir
Allah did not appoint them to guard their deeds so that they could make this statement of theirs.
