الحشر

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

59:1

سَبَّحَ لِلّٰهِ مَا فِی السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَا فِی الْاَرْضِ ۚ وَهُوَ الْعَزِیْزُ الْحَكِیْمُ ۟

Transliteration

Sabbaha lillahi ma fee assamawatiwama fee al-ardi wahuwa alAAazeezu alhakeem

Saheeh International

Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth exalts Allāh, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

59:2

هُوَ الَّذِیْۤ اَخْرَجَ الَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْا مِنْ اَهْلِ الْكِتٰبِ مِنْ دِیَارِهِمْ لِاَوَّلِ الْحَشْرِ ؔؕ مَا ظَنَنْتُمْ اَنْ یَّخْرُجُوْا وَظَنُّوْۤا اَنَّهُمْ مَّانِعَتُهُمْ حُصُوْنُهُمْ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ فَاَتٰىهُمُ اللّٰهُ مِنْ حَیْثُ لَمْ یَحْتَسِبُوْا وَقَذَفَ فِیْ قُلُوْبِهِمُ الرُّعْبَ یُخْرِبُوْنَ بُیُوْتَهُمْ بِاَیْدِیْهِمْ وَاَیْدِی الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ ۗ فَاعْتَبِرُوْا یٰۤاُولِی الْاَبْصَارِ ۟

Transliteration

Huwa allathee akhraja allatheenakafaroo min ahli alkitabi min diyarihim li-awwalialhashri ma thanantum an yakhrujoo wathannooannahum maniAAatuhum husoonuhum mina Allahifaatahumu Allahu min haythu lam yahtasiboowaqathafa fee quloobihimu arruAAba yukhriboonabuyootahum bi-aydeehim waaydee almu/mineena faAAtabiroo yaolee al-absar

Saheeh International

It is He who expelled the ones who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture from their homes at the first gathering. You did not think they would leave, and they thought that their fortresses would protect them from Allāh; but [the decree of] Allāh came upon them from where they had not expected, and He cast terror into their hearts [so] they destroyed their houses by their [own] hands and the hands of the believers. So take warning, O people of vision.

59:3

وَلَوْلَاۤ اَنْ كَتَبَ اللّٰهُ عَلَیْهِمُ الْجَلَآءَ لَعَذَّبَهُمْ فِی الدُّنْیَا ؕ وَلَهُمْ فِی الْاٰخِرَةِ عَذَابُ النَّارِ ۟

Transliteration

Walawla an kataba AllahuAAalayhimu aljalaa laAAaththabahum fee addunyawalahum fee al-akhirati AAathabu annar

Saheeh International

And if not that Allāh had decreed for them evacuation, He would have punished them in [this] world, and for them in the Hereafter is the punishment of the Fire.

59:4

ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّهُمْ شَآقُّوا اللّٰهَ وَرَسُوْلَهٗ ۚ وَمَنْ یُّشَآقِّ اللّٰهَ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ شَدِیْدُ الْعِقَابِ ۟

Transliteration

Thalika bi-annahum shaqqoo Allahawarasoolahu waman yushaqqi Allaha fa-inna Allahashadeedu alAAiqab

Saheeh International

That is because they opposed Allāh and His Messenger. And whoever opposes Allāh - then indeed, Allāh is severe in penalty.

59:5

مَا قَطَعْتُمْ مِّنْ لِّیْنَةٍ اَوْ تَرَكْتُمُوْهَا قَآىِٕمَةً عَلٰۤی اُصُوْلِهَا فَبِاِذْنِ اللّٰهِ وَلِیُخْزِیَ الْفٰسِقِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Ma qataAAtum min leenatin awtaraktumooha qa-imatan AAala osoolihafabi-ithni Allahi waliyukhziya alfasiqeen

Saheeh International

Whatever you have cut down of [their] palm trees or left standing on their trunks - it was by permission of Allāh and so He would disgrace the defiantly disobedient.

59:6

وَمَاۤ اَفَآءَ اللّٰهُ عَلٰی رَسُوْلِهٖ مِنْهُمْ فَمَاۤ اَوْجَفْتُمْ عَلَیْهِ مِنْ خَیْلٍ وَّلَا رِكَابٍ وَّلٰكِنَّ اللّٰهَ یُسَلِّطُ رُسُلَهٗ عَلٰی مَنْ یَّشَآءُ ؕ وَاللّٰهُ عَلٰی كُلِّ شَیْءٍ قَدِیْرٌ ۟

Transliteration

Wama afaa Allahu AAalarasoolihi minhum fama awjaftum AAalayhi min khaylin walarikabin walakinna Allaha yusalliturusulahu AAala man yashao wallahuAAala kulli shay-in qadeer

Saheeh International

And what Allāh restored [of property] to His Messenger from them - you did not spur for it [in an expedition] any horses or camels, but Allāh gives His messengers power over whom He wills, and Allāh is over all things competent.

59:7

مَاۤ اَفَآءَ اللّٰهُ عَلٰی رَسُوْلِهٖ مِنْ اَهْلِ الْقُرٰی فَلِلّٰهِ وَلِلرَّسُوْلِ وَلِذِی الْقُرْبٰی وَالْیَتٰمٰی وَالْمَسٰكِیْنِ وَابْنِ السَّبِیْلِ ۙ كَیْ لَا یَكُوْنَ دُوْلَةً بَیْنَ الْاَغْنِیَآءِ مِنْكُمْ ؕ وَمَاۤ اٰتٰىكُمُ الرَّسُوْلُ فَخُذُوْهُ ۗ وَمَا نَهٰىكُمْ عَنْهُ فَانْتَهُوْا ۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ شَدِیْدُ الْعِقَابِ ۟ۘ

Transliteration

Ma afaa Allahu AAalarasoolihi min ahli alqura falillahi walirrasooliwalithee alqurba walyatama walmasakeeniwabni assabeeli kay la yakoona doolatanbayna al-aghniya-i minkum wama atakumuarrasoolu fakhuthoohu wama nahakumAAanhu fantahoo wattaqoo Allaha inna Allahashadeedu alAAiqab

Saheeh International

And what Allāh restored to His Messenger from the people of the towns - it is for Allāh and for the Messenger and for [his] near relatives and orphans and the needy and the [stranded] traveler - so that it will not be a perpetual distribution among the rich from among you. And whatever the Messenger has given you - take; and what he has forbidden you - refrain from. And fear Allāh; indeed, Allāh is severe in penalty.

59:8

لِلْفُقَرَآءِ الْمُهٰجِرِیْنَ الَّذِیْنَ اُخْرِجُوْا مِنْ دِیَارِهِمْ وَاَمْوَالِهِمْ یَبْتَغُوْنَ فَضْلًا مِّنَ اللّٰهِ وَرِضْوَانًا وَّیَنْصُرُوْنَ اللّٰهَ وَرَسُوْلَهٗ ؕ اُولٰٓىِٕكَ هُمُ الصّٰدِقُوْنَ ۟ۚ

Transliteration

Lilfuqara-i almuhajireena allatheenaokhrijoo min diyarihim waamwalihim yabtaghoona fadlanmina Allahi waridwanan wayansuroonaAllaha warasoolahu ola-ika humu assadiqoon

Saheeh International

For the poor emigrants who were expelled from their homes and their properties, seeking bounty from Allāh and [His] approval and supporting [the cause of] Allāh and His Messenger, [there is also a share]. Those are the truthful.

59:9

وَالَّذِیْنَ تَبَوَّؤُ الدَّارَ وَالْاِیْمَانَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ یُحِبُّوْنَ مَنْ هَاجَرَ اِلَیْهِمْ وَلَا یَجِدُوْنَ فِیْ صُدُوْرِهِمْ حَاجَةً مِّمَّاۤ اُوْتُوْا وَیُؤْثِرُوْنَ عَلٰۤی اَنْفُسِهِمْ وَلَوْ كَانَ بِهِمْ خَصَاصَةٌ ۫ؕ وَمَنْ یُّوْقَ شُحَّ نَفْسِهٖ فَاُولٰٓىِٕكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُوْنَ ۟ۚ

Transliteration

Wallatheena tabawwaoo addarawal-eemana min qablihim yuhibboona man hajarailayhim wala yajidoona fee sudoorihim hajatanmimma ootoo wayu/thiroona AAala anfusihim walaw kanabihim khasasatun waman yooqa shuhha nafsihi faola-ikahumu almuflihoon

Saheeh International

And [also for] those who were settled in the Home [i.e.,al-Madīnah] and [adopted] the faith before them. They love those who emigrated to them and find not any want in their breasts of what they [i.e., the emigrants] were given but give [them] preference over themselves, even though they are in privation. And whoever is protected from the stinginess of his soul - it is those who will be the successful.

59:10

وَالَّذِیْنَ جَآءُوْ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ یَقُوْلُوْنَ رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِاِخْوَانِنَا الَّذِیْنَ سَبَقُوْنَا بِالْاِیْمَانِ وَلَا تَجْعَلْ فِیْ قُلُوْبِنَا غِلًّا لِّلَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا رَبَّنَاۤ اِنَّكَ رَءُوْفٌ رَّحِیْمٌ ۟۠

Transliteration

Wallatheena jaoo minbaAAdihim yaqooloona rabbana ighfir lana wali-ikhwaninaallatheena sabaqoona bil-eemani walatajAAal fee quloobina ghillan lillatheena amanoorabbana innaka raoofun raheem

Saheeh International

And [there is a share for] those who come after them, saying, "Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith and put not in our hearts [any] resentment toward those who have believed. Our Lord, indeed You are Kind and Merciful."

59:11

اَلَمْ تَرَ اِلَی الَّذِیْنَ نَافَقُوْا یَقُوْلُوْنَ لِاِخْوَانِهِمُ الَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْا مِنْ اَهْلِ الْكِتٰبِ لَىِٕنْ اُخْرِجْتُمْ لَنَخْرُجَنَّ مَعَكُمْ وَلَا نُطِیْعُ فِیْكُمْ اَحَدًا اَبَدًا ۙ وَّاِنْ قُوْتِلْتُمْ لَنَنْصُرَنَّكُمْ ؕ وَاللّٰهُ یَشْهَدُ اِنَّهُمْ لَكٰذِبُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Alam tara ila allatheena nafaqooyaqooloona li-ikhwanihimu allatheena kafaroo minahli alkitabi la-in okhrijtum lanakhrujanna maAAakum walanuteeAAu feekum ahadan abadan wa-in qootiltum lanansurannakumwallahu yashhadu innahum lakathiboon

Saheeh International

Have you not considered those who practice hypocrisy, saying to their brothers [i.e., associates] who have disbelieved among the People of the Scripture, "If you are expelled, we will surely leave with you, and we will not obey, in regard to you, anyone - ever; and if you are fought, we will surely aid you." But Allāh testifies that they are liars.

59:12

لَىِٕنْ اُخْرِجُوْا لَا یَخْرُجُوْنَ مَعَهُمْ ۚ وَلَىِٕنْ قُوْتِلُوْا لَا یَنْصُرُوْنَهُمْ ۚ وَلَىِٕنْ نَّصَرُوْهُمْ لَیُوَلُّنَّ الْاَدْبَارَ ۫ ثُمَّ لَا یُنْصَرُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

La-in okhrijoo la yakhrujoonamaAAahum wala-in qootiloo la yansuroonahum wala-innasaroohum layuwallunna al-adbara thumma layunsaroon

Saheeh International

If they are expelled, they will not leave with them, and if they are fought, they will not aid them. And [even] if they should aid them, they will surely turn their backs; then [thereafter] they will not be aided.

59:13

لَاَنْتُمْ اَشَدُّ رَهْبَةً فِیْ صُدُوْرِهِمْ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ ؕ ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَّا یَفْقَهُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Laantum ashaddu rahbatan fee sudoorihimmina Allahi thalika bi-annahum qawmun layafqahoon

Saheeh International

You [believers] are more fearful within their breasts than Allāh. That is because they are a people who do not understand.

59:14

لَا یُقَاتِلُوْنَكُمْ جَمِیْعًا اِلَّا فِیْ قُرًی مُّحَصَّنَةٍ اَوْ مِنْ وَّرَآءِ جُدُرٍ ؕ بَاْسُهُمْ بَیْنَهُمْ شَدِیْدٌ ؕ تَحْسَبُهُمْ جَمِیْعًا وَّقُلُوْبُهُمْ شَتّٰی ؕ ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَّا یَعْقِلُوْنَ ۟ۚ

Transliteration

La yuqatiloonakum jameeAAanilla fee quran muhassanatin aw min wara-ijudurin ba/suhum baynahum shadeedun tahsabuhum jameeAAanwaquloobuhum shatta thalika bi-annahum qawmun layaAAqiloon

Saheeh International

They will not fight you all except within fortified cities or from behind walls. Their violence [i.e., enmity] among themselves is severe. You think they are together, but their hearts are diverse. That is because they are a people who do not reason.

59:15

كَمَثَلِ الَّذِیْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ قَرِیْبًا ذَاقُوْا وَبَالَ اَمْرِهِمْ ۚ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ اَلِیْمٌ ۟ۚ

Transliteration

Kamathali allatheena min qablihimqareeban thaqoo wabala amrihim walahum AAathabunaleem

Saheeh International

[Theirs is] like the example of those shortly before them: they tasted the bad consequence of their affair, and they will have a painful punishment.

59:16

كَمَثَلِ الشَّیْطٰنِ اِذْ قَالَ لِلْاِنْسَانِ اكْفُرْ ۚ فَلَمَّا كَفَرَ قَالَ اِنِّیْ بَرِیْٓءٌ مِّنْكَ اِنِّیْۤ اَخَافُ اللّٰهَ رَبَّ الْعٰلَمِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Kamathali ashshaytani ithqala lil-insani okfur falamma kafara qalainnee baree-on minka innee akhafu Allaha rabba alAAalameen

Saheeh International

[The hypocrites are] like the example of Satan when he says to man, "Disbelieve." But when he disbelieves, he says, "Indeed, I am disassociated from you. Indeed, I fear Allāh, Lord of the worlds."

59:17

فَكَانَ عَاقِبَتَهُمَاۤ اَنَّهُمَا فِی النَّارِ خَالِدَیْنِ فِیْهَا ؕ وَذٰلِكَ جَزٰٓؤُا الظّٰلِمِیْنَ ۟۠

Transliteration

Fakana AAaqibatahumaannahuma fee annari khalidayni feehawathalika jazao aththalimeen

Saheeh International

So the outcome for both of them is that they will be in the Fire, abiding eternally therein. And that is the recompense of the wrongdoers.

59:18

یٰۤاَیُّهَا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَلْتَنْظُرْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ لِغَدٍ ۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ خَبِیْرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooittaqoo Allaha waltanthur nafsun maqaddamat lighadin wattaqoo Allaha inna Allahakhabeerun bima taAAmaloon

Saheeh International

O you who have believed, fear Allāh. And let every soul look to what it has put forth for tomorrow - and fear Allāh. Indeed, Allāh is Aware of what you do.

59:19

وَلَا تَكُوْنُوْا كَالَّذِیْنَ نَسُوا اللّٰهَ فَاَنْسٰىهُمْ اَنْفُسَهُمْ ؕ اُولٰٓىِٕكَ هُمُ الْفٰسِقُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wala takoonoo kallatheenanasoo Allaha faansahum anfusahum ola-ikahumu alfasiqoon

Saheeh International

And be not like those who forgot Allāh, so He made them forget themselves. Those are the defiantly disobedient.

59:20

لَا یَسْتَوِیْۤ اَصْحٰبُ النَّارِ وَاَصْحٰبُ الْجَنَّةِ ؕ اَصْحٰبُ الْجَنَّةِ هُمُ الْفَآىِٕزُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

La yastawee as-habu annariwaas-habu aljannati as-habu aljannatihumu alfa-izoon

Saheeh International

Not equal are the companions of the Fire and the companions of Paradise. The companions of Paradise - they are the attainers [of success].

59:21

لَوْ اَنْزَلْنَا هٰذَا الْقُرْاٰنَ عَلٰی جَبَلٍ لَّرَاَیْتَهٗ خَاشِعًا مُّتَصَدِّعًا مِّنْ خَشْیَةِ اللّٰهِ ؕ وَتِلْكَ الْاَمْثَالُ نَضْرِبُهَا لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ یَتَفَكَّرُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Law anzalna hatha alqur-anaAAala jabalin laraaytahu khashiAAan mutasaddiAAanmin khashyati Allahi watilka al-amthalu nadribuhalinnasi laAAallahum yatafakkaroon

Saheeh International

If We had sent down this Qur’ān upon a mountain, you would have seen it humbled and splitting from fear of Allāh. And these examples We present to the people that perhaps they will give thought.

59:22

هُوَ اللّٰهُ الَّذِیْ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ ۚ عٰلِمُ الْغَیْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ ۚ هُوَ الرَّحْمٰنُ الرَّحِیْمُ ۟

Transliteration

Huwa Allahu allathee lailaha illa huwa AAalimu alghaybi washshahadatihuwa arrahmanu arraheem

Saheeh International

He is Allāh, other than whom there is no deity, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed. He is the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

59:23

هُوَ اللّٰهُ الَّذِیْ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ ۚ اَلْمَلِكُ الْقُدُّوْسُ السَّلٰمُ الْمُؤْمِنُ الْمُهَیْمِنُ الْعَزِیْزُ الْجَبَّارُ الْمُتَكَبِّرُ ؕ سُبْحٰنَ اللّٰهِ عَمَّا یُشْرِكُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Huwa Allahu allathee lailaha illa huwa almaliku alquddoosu assalamualmu/minu almuhayminu alAAazeezu aljabbaru almutakabbirusubhana Allahi AAamma yushrikoon

Saheeh International

He is Allāh, other than whom there is no deity, the Sovereign, the Pure, the Perfection, the Grantor of Security, the Overseer, the Exalted in Might, the Compeller, the Superior. Exalted is Allāh above whatever they associate with Him.

59:24

هُوَ اللّٰهُ الْخَالِقُ الْبَارِئُ الْمُصَوِّرُ لَهُ الْاَسْمَآءُ الْحُسْنٰی ؕ یُسَبِّحُ لَهٗ مَا فِی السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ ۚ وَهُوَ الْعَزِیْزُ الْحَكِیْمُ ۟۠

Transliteration

Huwa Allahu alkhaliqu albari-oalmusawwiru lahu al-asmao alhusnayusabbihu lahu ma fee assamawatiwal-ardi wahuwa alAAazeezu alhakeem

Saheeh International

He is Allāh, the Creator, the Producer, the Fashioner; to Him belong the best names. Whatever is in the heavens and earth is exalting Him. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
