21:1
اِقْتَرَبَ لِلنَّاسِ حِسَابُهُمْ وَهُمْ فِیْ غَفْلَةٍ مُّعْرِضُوْنَ ۟ۚ
Transliteration
Iqtaraba linnasi hisabuhumwahum fee ghaflatin muAAridoon
Saheeh International
[The time of] their account has approached for the people, while they are in heedlessness turning away.
21:2
مَا یَاْتِیْهِمْ مِّنْ ذِكْرٍ مِّنْ رَّبِّهِمْ مُّحْدَثٍ اِلَّا اسْتَمَعُوْهُ وَهُمْ یَلْعَبُوْنَ ۟ۙ
Transliteration
Ma ya/teehim min thikrin minrabbihim muhdathin illa istamaAAoohu wahumyalAAaboon
Saheeh International
No mention [i.e., revelation] comes to them anew from their Lord except that they listen to it while they are at play
21:3
لَاهِیَةً قُلُوْبُهُمْ ؕ وَاَسَرُّوا النَّجْوَی ۖۗ الَّذِیْنَ ظَلَمُوْا ۖۗ هَلْ هٰذَاۤ اِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ ۚ اَفَتَاْتُوْنَ السِّحْرَ وَاَنْتُمْ تُبْصِرُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Lahiyatan quloobuhum waasarroo annajwaallatheena thalamoo hal hatha illabasharun mithlukum afata/toona assihra waantum tubsiroon
Saheeh International
With their hearts distracted. And those who do wrong conceal their private conversation, [saying], "Is this [Prophet] except a human being like you? So would you approach magic while you are aware [of it]?"
21:4
قٰلَ رَبِّیْ یَعْلَمُ الْقَوْلَ فِی السَّمَآءِ وَالْاَرْضِ ؗ وَهُوَ السَّمِیْعُ الْعَلِیْمُ ۟
Transliteration
Qala rabbee yaAAlamu alqawla fee assama-iwal-ardi wahuwa assameeAAu alAAaleem
Saheeh International
He [the Prophet (ﷺ)] said, "My Lord knows whatever is said throughout the heaven and earth, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing."
21:5
بَلْ قَالُوْۤا اَضْغَاثُ اَحْلَامٍ بَلِ افْتَرٰىهُ بَلْ هُوَ شَاعِرٌ ۖۚ فَلْیَاْتِنَا بِاٰیَةٍ كَمَاۤ اُرْسِلَ الْاَوَّلُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Bal qaloo adghathu ahlaminbali iftarahu bal huwa shaAAirun falya/tinabi-ayatin kama orsila al-awwaloon
Saheeh International
But they say, "[The revelation is but] a mixture of false dreams; rather, he has invented it; rather, he is a poet. So let him bring us a sign just as the previous [messengers] were sent [with miracles]."
21:6
مَاۤ اٰمَنَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ مِّنْ قَرْیَةٍ اَهْلَكْنٰهَا ۚ اَفَهُمْ یُؤْمِنُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Ma amanat qablahum min qaryatinahlaknaha afahum yu/minoon
Saheeh International
Not a [single] city which We destroyed believed before them, so will they believe?
21:7
وَمَاۤ اَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ اِلَّا رِجَالًا نُّوْحِیْۤ اِلَیْهِمْ فَسْـَٔلُوْۤا اَهْلَ الذِّكْرِ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Wama arsalna qablaka illarijalan noohee ilayhim fas-aloo ahla aththikriin kuntum la taAAlamoon
Saheeh International
And We sent not before you, [O Muḥammad], except men to whom We revealed [the message], so ask the people of the message [i.e., former scriptures] if you do not know.
21:8
وَمَا جَعَلْنٰهُمْ جَسَدًا لَّا یَاْكُلُوْنَ الطَّعَامَ وَمَا كَانُوْا خٰلِدِیْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Wama jaAAalnahum jasadan laya/kuloona attaAAama wama kanookhalideen
Saheeh International
And We did not make them [i.e., the prophets] forms not eating food, nor were they immortal [on earth].
21:9
ثُمَّ صَدَقْنٰهُمُ الْوَعْدَ فَاَنْجَیْنٰهُمْ وَمَنْ نَّشَآءُ وَاَهْلَكْنَا الْمُسْرِفِیْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Thumma sadaqnahumu alwaAAdafaanjaynahum waman nashao waahlaknaalmusrifeen
Saheeh International
Then We fulfilled for them the promise, and We saved them and whom We willed and destroyed the transgressors.
21:10
لَقَدْ اَنْزَلْنَاۤ اِلَیْكُمْ كِتٰبًا فِیْهِ ذِكْرُكُمْ ؕ اَفَلَا تَعْقِلُوْنَ ۟۠
Transliteration
Laqad anzalna ilaykum kitabanfeehi thikrukum afala taAAqiloon
Saheeh International
We have certainly sent down to you a Book [i.e., the Qur’ān] in which is your mention. Then will you not reason?
21:11
وَكَمْ قَصَمْنَا مِنْ قَرْیَةٍ كَانَتْ ظَالِمَةً وَّاَنْشَاْنَا بَعْدَهَا قَوْمًا اٰخَرِیْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Wakam qasamna min qaryatin kanatthalimatan waansha/na baAAdahaqawman akhareen
Saheeh International
And how many a city which was unjust have We shattered and produced after it another people.
21:12
فَلَمَّاۤ اَحَسُّوْا بَاْسَنَاۤ اِذَا هُمْ مِّنْهَا یَرْكُضُوْنَ ۟ؕ
Transliteration
Falamma ahassoo ba/sanaitha hum minha yarkudoon
Saheeh International
And when they [i.e., its inhabitants] perceived Our punishment, at once they fled from it.
21:13
لَا تَرْكُضُوْا وَارْجِعُوْۤا اِلٰی مَاۤ اُتْرِفْتُمْ فِیْهِ وَمَسٰكِنِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُسْـَٔلُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
La tarkudoo warjiAAooila ma otriftum feehi wamasakinikumlaAAallakum tus-aloon
Saheeh International
[Some angels said], "Do not flee but return to where you were given luxury and to your homes - perhaps you will be questioned."
21:14
قَالُوْا یٰوَیْلَنَاۤ اِنَّا كُنَّا ظٰلِمِیْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Qaloo ya waylana innakunna thalimeen
Saheeh International
They said, "O woe to us! Indeed, we were wrongdoers."
21:15
فَمَا زَالَتْ تِّلْكَ دَعْوٰىهُمْ حَتّٰی جَعَلْنٰهُمْ حَصِیْدًا خٰمِدِیْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Fama zalat tilka daAAwahumhatta jaAAalnahum haseedan khamideen
Saheeh International
And that declaration of theirs did not cease until We made them [as] a harvest [mowed down], extinguished [like a fire].
21:16
وَمَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَآءَ وَالْاَرْضَ وَمَا بَیْنَهُمَا لٰعِبِیْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Wama khalaqna assamaawal-arda wama baynahuma laAAibeen
Saheeh International
And We did not create the heaven and earth and that between them in play.
21:17
لَوْ اَرَدْنَاۤ اَنْ نَّتَّخِذَ لَهْوًا لَّاتَّخَذْنٰهُ مِنْ لَّدُنَّاۤ ۖۗ اِنْ كُنَّا فٰعِلِیْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Law aradna an nattakhithalahwan lattakhathnahu min ladunna inkunna faAAileen
Saheeh International
Had We intended to take a diversion, We could have taken it from [what is] with Us - if [indeed] We were to do so.
21:18
بَلْ نَقْذِفُ بِالْحَقِّ عَلَی الْبَاطِلِ فَیَدْمَغُهٗ فَاِذَا هُوَ زَاهِقٌ ؕ وَلَكُمُ الْوَیْلُ مِمَّا تَصِفُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Bal naqthifu bilhaqqiAAala albatili fayadmaghuhu fa-itha huwa zahiqunwalakumu alwaylu mimma tasifoon
Saheeh International
Rather, We dash the truth upon falsehood, and it destroys it, and thereupon it departs. And for you is destruction from that which you describe.
21:19
وَلَهٗ مَنْ فِی السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ ؕ وَمَنْ عِنْدَهٗ لَا یَسْتَكْبِرُوْنَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِهٖ وَلَا یَسْتَحْسِرُوْنَ ۟ۚ
Transliteration
Walahu man fee assamawatiwal-ardi waman AAindahu la yastakbiroonaAAan AAibadatihi wala yastahsiroon
Saheeh International
To Him belongs whoever is in the heavens and the earth. And those near Him [i.e., the angels] are not prevented by arrogance from His worship, nor do they tire.
21:20
یُسَبِّحُوْنَ الَّیْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ لَا یَفْتُرُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Yusabbihoona allayla wannaharala yafturoon
Saheeh International
They exalt [Him] night and day [and] do not slacken.
21:21
اَمِ اتَّخَذُوْۤا اٰلِهَةً مِّنَ الْاَرْضِ هُمْ یُنْشِرُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Ami ittakhathoo alihatan minaal-ardi hum yunshiroon
Saheeh International
Or have they [i.e., men] taken for themselves gods from the earth who resurrect [the dead]?
21:22
لَوْ كَانَ فِیْهِمَاۤ اٰلِهَةٌ اِلَّا اللّٰهُ لَفَسَدَتَا ۚ فَسُبْحٰنَ اللّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ عَمَّا یَصِفُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Law kana feehima alihatunilla Allahu lafasadata fasubhana Allahirabbi alAAarshi AAamma yasifoon
Saheeh International
Had there been within them [i.e., the heavens and earth] gods besides Allāh, they both would have been ruined. So exalted is Allāh, Lord of the Throne, above what they describe.
21:23
لَا یُسْـَٔلُ عَمَّا یَفْعَلُ وَهُمْ یُسْـَٔلُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
La yus-alu AAamma yafAAaluwahum yus-aloon
Saheeh International
He is not questioned about what He does, but they will be questioned.
21:24
اَمِ اتَّخَذُوْا مِنْ دُوْنِهٖۤ اٰلِهَةً ؕ قُلْ هَاتُوْا بُرْهَانَكُمْ ۚ هٰذَا ذِكْرُ مَنْ مَّعِیَ وَذِكْرُ مَنْ قَبْلِیْ ؕ بَلْ اَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا یَعْلَمُوْنَ ۙ الْحَقَّ فَهُمْ مُّعْرِضُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Ami ittakhathoo min doonihi alihatanqul hatoo burhanakum hatha thikru manmaAAiya wathikru man qablee bal aktharuhum layaAAlamoona alhaqqa fahum muAAridoon
Saheeh International
Or have they taken gods besides Him? Say, [O Muḥammad], "Produce your proof. This [Qur’ān] is the message for those with me and the message of those before me." But most of them do not know the truth, so they are turning away.
21:25
وَمَاۤ اَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ مِنْ رَّسُوْلٍ اِلَّا نُوْحِیْۤ اِلَیْهِ اَنَّهٗ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّاۤ اَنَا فَاعْبُدُوْنِ ۟
Transliteration
Wama arsalna min qablika minrasoolin illa noohee ilayhi annahu la ilahailla ana faAAbudoon
Saheeh International
And We sent not before you any messenger except We revealed to him that, "There is no deity except Me, so worship Me."
21:26
وَقَالُوا اتَّخَذَ الرَّحْمٰنُ وَلَدًا سُبْحٰنَهٗ ؕ بَلْ عِبَادٌ مُّكْرَمُوْنَ ۟ۙ
Transliteration
Waqaloo ittakhatha arrahmanuwaladan subhanahu bal AAibadun mukramoon
Saheeh International
And they say, "The Most Merciful has taken a son." Exalted is He! Rather, they are [but] honored servants.
21:27
لَا یَسْبِقُوْنَهٗ بِالْقَوْلِ وَهُمْ بِاَمْرِهٖ یَعْمَلُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
La yasbiqoonahu bilqawliwahum bi-amrihi yaAAmaloon
Saheeh International
They cannot precede Him in word, and they act by His command.
21:28
یَعْلَمُ مَا بَیْنَ اَیْدِیْهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلَا یَشْفَعُوْنَ ۙ اِلَّا لِمَنِ ارْتَضٰی وَهُمْ مِّنْ خَشْیَتِهٖ مُشْفِقُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
YaAAlamu ma bayna aydeehim wamakhalfahum wala yashfaAAoona illa limani irtadawahum min khashyatihi mushfiqoon
Saheeh International
He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they cannot intercede except on behalf of one whom He approves. And they, from fear of Him, are apprehensive.
21:29
وَمَنْ یَّقُلْ مِنْهُمْ اِنِّیْۤ اِلٰهٌ مِّنْ دُوْنِهٖ فَذٰلِكَ نَجْزِیْهِ جَهَنَّمَ ؕ كَذٰلِكَ نَجْزِی الظّٰلِمِیْنَ ۟۠
Transliteration
Waman yaqul minhum innee ilahun mindoonihi fathalika najzeehi jahannama kathalikanajzee aththalimeen
Saheeh International
And whoever of them should say, "Indeed, I am a god besides Him" - that one We would recompense with Hell. Thus do We recompense the wrongdoers.
21:30
اَوَلَمْ یَرَ الَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْۤا اَنَّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضَ كَانَتَا رَتْقًا فَفَتَقْنٰهُمَا ؕ وَجَعَلْنَا مِنَ الْمَآءِ كُلَّ شَیْءٍ حَیٍّ ؕ اَفَلَا یُؤْمِنُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Awa lam yara allatheenakafaroo anna assamawati wal-ardakanata ratqan fafataqnahuma wajaAAalnamina alma-i kulla shay-in hayyin afalayu/minoon
Saheeh International
Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and then We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe?
21:31
وَجَعَلْنَا فِی الْاَرْضِ رَوَاسِیَ اَنْ تَمِیْدَ بِهِمْ ۪ وَجَعَلْنَا فِیْهَا فِجَاجًا سُبُلًا لَّعَلَّهُمْ یَهْتَدُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
WajaAAalna fee al-ardi rawasiyaan tameeda bihim wajaAAalna feeha fijajansubulan laAAallahum yahtadoon
Saheeh International
And We placed within the earth firmly set mountains, lest it should shift with them, and We made therein [mountain] passes [as] roads that they might be guided.
21:32
وَجَعَلْنَا السَّمَآءَ سَقْفًا مَّحْفُوْظًا ۖۚ وَّهُمْ عَنْ اٰیٰتِهَا مُعْرِضُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
WajaAAalna assamaasaqfan mahfoothan wahum AAan ayatihamuAAridoon
Saheeh International
And We made the sky a protected ceiling, but they, from its signs, are turning away.
21:33
وَهُوَ الَّذِیْ خَلَقَ الَّیْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ ؕ كُلٌّ فِیْ فَلَكٍ یَّسْبَحُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Wahuwa allathee khalaqa allayla wannaharawashshamsa walqamara kullun fee falakin yasbahoon
Saheeh International
And it is He who created the night and the day and the sun and the moon; all [heavenly bodies] in an orbit are swimming.
21:34
وَمَا جَعَلْنَا لِبَشَرٍ مِّنْ قَبْلِكَ الْخُلْدَ ؕ اَفَاۡىِٕنْ مِّتَّ فَهُمُ الْخٰلِدُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Wama jaAAalna libasharin minqablika alkhulda afa-in mitta fahumu alkhalidoon
Saheeh International
And We did not grant to any man before you eternity [on earth]; so if you die - would they be eternal?
21:35
كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَآىِٕقَةُ الْمَوْتِ ؕ وَنَبْلُوْكُمْ بِالشَّرِّ وَالْخَیْرِ فِتْنَةً ؕ وَاِلَیْنَا تُرْجَعُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Kullu nafsin tha-iqatu almawtiwanablookum bishsharri walkhayri fitnatanwa-ilayna turjaAAoon
Saheeh International
Every soul will taste death. And We test you with evil and with good as trial; and to Us you will be returned.
21:36
وَاِذَا رَاٰكَ الَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْۤا اِنْ یَّتَّخِذُوْنَكَ اِلَّا هُزُوًا ؕ اَهٰذَا الَّذِیْ یَذْكُرُ اٰلِهَتَكُمْ ۚ وَهُمْ بِذِكْرِ الرَّحْمٰنِ هُمْ كٰفِرُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Wa-itha raaka allatheenakafaroo in yattakhithoonaka illa huzuwan ahathaallathee yathkuru alihatakum wahum bithikriarrahmani hum kafiroon
Saheeh International
And when those who disbelieve see you, [O Muḥammad], they take you not except in ridicule, [saying], "Is this the one who mentions [i.e., insults] your gods?" And they are, at the mention of the Most Merciful, disbelievers.
21:37
خُلِقَ الْاِنْسَانُ مِنْ عَجَلٍ ؕ سَاُورِیْكُمْ اٰیٰتِیْ فَلَا تَسْتَعْجِلُوْنِ ۟
Transliteration
Khuliqa al-insanu min AAajalinsaoreekum ayatee fala tastaAAjiloon
Saheeh International
Man was created of haste [i.e., impatience]. I will show you My signs [i.e., vengeance], so do not impatiently urge Me.
21:38
وَیَقُوْلُوْنَ مَتٰی هٰذَا الْوَعْدُ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صٰدِقِیْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Wayaqooloona mata hathaalwaAAdu in kuntum sadiqeen
Saheeh International
And they say, "When is this promise, if you should be truthful?"
21:39
لَوْ یَعْلَمُ الَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْا حِیْنَ لَا یَكُفُّوْنَ عَنْ وُّجُوْهِهِمُ النَّارَ وَلَا عَنْ ظُهُوْرِهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ یُنْصَرُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Law yaAAlamu allatheena kafaroo heenala yakuffoona AAan wujoohihimu annara walaAAan thuhoorihim wala hum yunsaroon
Saheeh International
If those who disbelieved but knew the time when they will not avert the Fire from their faces or from their backs and they will not be aided...
21:40
بَلْ تَاْتِیْهِمْ بَغْتَةً فَتَبْهَتُهُمْ فَلَا یَسْتَطِیْعُوْنَ رَدَّهَا وَلَا هُمْ یُنْظَرُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Bal ta/teehim baghtatan fatabhatuhum falayastateeAAoona raddaha wala hum yuntharoon
Saheeh International
Rather, it will come to them unexpectedly and bewilder them, and they will not be able to repel it, nor will they be reprieved.
21:41
وَلَقَدِ اسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّنْ قَبْلِكَ فَحَاقَ بِالَّذِیْنَ سَخِرُوْا مِنْهُمْ مَّا كَانُوْا بِهٖ یَسْتَهْزِءُوْنَ ۟۠
Transliteration
Walaqadi istuhzi-a birusulin min qablika fahaqabillatheena sakhiroo minhum ma kanoobihi yastahzi-oon
Saheeh International
And already were messengers ridiculed before you, but those who mocked them were enveloped by what they used to ridicule.
21:42
قُلْ مَنْ یَّكْلَؤُكُمْ بِالَّیْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ مِنَ الرَّحْمٰنِ ؕ بَلْ هُمْ عَنْ ذِكْرِ رَبِّهِمْ مُّعْرِضُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Qul man yaklaokum billayli wannaharimina arrahmani bal hum AAan thikrirabbihim muAAridoon
Saheeh International
Say, "Who can protect you at night or by day from the Most Merciful?" But they are, from the remembrance of their Lord, turning away.
21:43
اَمْ لَهُمْ اٰلِهَةٌ تَمْنَعُهُمْ مِّنْ دُوْنِنَا ؕ لَا یَسْتَطِیْعُوْنَ نَصْرَ اَنْفُسِهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ مِّنَّا یُصْحَبُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Am lahum alihatun tamnaAAuhum mindoonina la yastateeAAoona nasraanfusihim wala hum minna yushaboon
Saheeh International
Or do they have gods to defend them other than Us? They are unable [even] to help themselves, nor can they be protected from Us.
21:44
بَلْ مَتَّعْنَا هٰۤؤُلَآءِ وَاٰبَآءَهُمْ حَتّٰی طَالَ عَلَیْهِمُ الْعُمُرُ ؕ اَفَلَا یَرَوْنَ اَنَّا نَاْتِی الْاَرْضَ نَنْقُصُهَا مِنْ اَطْرَافِهَا ؕ اَفَهُمُ الْغٰلِبُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Bal mattaAAna haola-iwaabaahum hatta talaAAalayhimu alAAumuru afala yarawna anna na/teeal-arda nanqusuha min atrafihaafahumu alghaliboon
Saheeh International
But, [on the contrary], We have provided good things for these [disbelievers] and their fathers until life was prolonged for them. Then do they not see that We set upon the land, reducing it from its borders? Is it they who will overcome?
21:45
قُلْ اِنَّمَاۤ اُنْذِرُكُمْ بِالْوَحْیِ ۖؗ وَلَا یَسْمَعُ الصُّمُّ الدُّعَآءَ اِذَا مَا یُنْذَرُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Qul innama onthirukum bilwahyiwala yasmaAAu assummu adduAAaaitha ma yuntharoon
Saheeh International
Say, "I only warn you by revelation." But the deaf do not hear the call when they are warned.
21:46
وَلَىِٕنْ مَّسَّتْهُمْ نَفْحَةٌ مِّنْ عَذَابِ رَبِّكَ لَیَقُوْلُنَّ یٰوَیْلَنَاۤ اِنَّا كُنَّا ظٰلِمِیْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Wala-in massat-hum nafhatun min AAathabirabbika layaqoolunna ya waylana inna kunnathalimeen
Saheeh International
And if [as much as] a whiff of the punishment of your Lord should touch them, they would surely say, "O woe to us! Indeed, we have been wrongdoers."
21:47
وَنَضَعُ الْمَوَازِیْنَ الْقِسْطَ لِیَوْمِ الْقِیٰمَةِ فَلَا تُظْلَمُ نَفْسٌ شَیْـًٔا ؕ وَاِنْ كَانَ مِثْقَالَ حَبَّةٍ مِّنْ خَرْدَلٍ اَتَیْنَا بِهَا ؕ وَكَفٰی بِنَا حٰسِبِیْنَ ۟
Transliteration
WanadaAAu almawazeena alqistaliyawmi alqiyamati fala tuthlamunafsun shay-an wa-in kana mithqala habbatinmin khardalin atayna biha wakafa binahasibeen
Saheeh International
And We place the scales of justice for the Day of Resurrection, so no soul will be treated unjustly at all. And if there is [even] the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it forth. And sufficient are We as accountant.
21:48
وَلَقَدْ اٰتَیْنَا مُوْسٰی وَهٰرُوْنَ الْفُرْقَانَ وَضِیَآءً وَّذِكْرًا لِّلْمُتَّقِیْنَ ۟ۙ
Transliteration
Walaqad atayna moosawaharoona alfurqana wadiyaan wathikranlilmuttaqeen
Saheeh International
And We had already given Moses and Aaron the criterion and a light and a reminder for the righteous
21:49
الَّذِیْنَ یَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُمْ بِالْغَیْبِ وَهُمْ مِّنَ السَّاعَةِ مُشْفِقُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Allatheena yakhshawna rabbahum bilghaybiwahum mina assaAAati mushfiqoon
Saheeh International
Who fear their Lord unseen, while they are of the Hour apprehensive.
21:50
وَهٰذَا ذِكْرٌ مُّبٰرَكٌ اَنْزَلْنٰهُ ؕ اَفَاَنْتُمْ لَهٗ مُنْكِرُوْنَ ۟۠
Transliteration
Wahatha thikrun mubarakunanzalnahu afaantum lahu munkiroon
Saheeh International
And this [Qur’ān] is a blessed message which We have sent down. Then are you with it unacquainted?
21:51
وَلَقَدْ اٰتَیْنَاۤ اِبْرٰهِیْمَ رُشْدَهٗ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَكُنَّا بِهٖ عٰلِمِیْنَ ۟ۚ
Transliteration
Walaqad atayna ibraheemarushdahu min qablu wakunna bihi AAalimeen
Saheeh International
And We had certainly given Abraham his sound judgement before, and We were of him well-Knowing
21:52
اِذْ قَالَ لِاَبِیْهِ وَقَوْمِهٖ مَا هٰذِهِ التَّمَاثِیْلُ الَّتِیْۤ اَنْتُمْ لَهَا عٰكِفُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Ith qala li-abeehi waqawmihi mahathihi attamatheelu allatee antum lahaAAakifoon
Saheeh International
When he said to his father and his people, "What are these statues to which you are devoted?"
21:53
قَالُوْا وَجَدْنَاۤ اٰبَآءَنَا لَهَا عٰبِدِیْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Qaloo wajadna abaanalaha AAabideen
Saheeh International
They said, "We found our fathers worshippers of them."
21:54
قَالَ لَقَدْ كُنْتُمْ اَنْتُمْ وَاٰبَآؤُكُمْ فِیْ ضَلٰلٍ مُّبِیْنٍ ۟
Transliteration
Qala laqad kuntum antum waabaokumfee dalalin mubeen
Saheeh International
He said, "You were certainly, you and your fathers, in manifest error."
21:55
قَالُوْۤا اَجِئْتَنَا بِالْحَقِّ اَمْ اَنْتَ مِنَ اللّٰعِبِیْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Qaloo aji/tana bilhaqqiam anta mina allaAAibeen
Saheeh International
They said, "Have you come to us with truth, or are you of those who jest?"
21:56
قَالَ بَلْ رَّبُّكُمْ رَبُّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ الَّذِیْ فَطَرَهُنَّ ۖؗ وَاَنَا عَلٰی ذٰلِكُمْ مِّنَ الشّٰهِدِیْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Qala bal rabbukum rabbu assamawatiwal-ardi allathee fatarahunna waanaAAala thalikum mina ashshahideen
Saheeh International
He said, "[No], rather, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth who created them, and I, to that, am of those who testify.
21:57
وَتَاللّٰهِ لَاَكِیْدَنَّ اَصْنَامَكُمْ بَعْدَ اَنْ تُوَلُّوْا مُدْبِرِیْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Watallahi laakeedanna asnamakumbaAAda an tuwalloo mudbireen
Saheeh International
And [I swear] by Allāh, I will surely plan against your idols after you have turned and gone away."
21:58
فَجَعَلَهُمْ جُذٰذًا اِلَّا كَبِیْرًا لَّهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ اِلَیْهِ یَرْجِعُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
FajaAAalahum juthathan illakabeeran lahum laAAallahum ilayhi yarjiAAoon
Saheeh International
So he made them into fragments, except a large one among them, that they might return to it [and question].
21:59
قَالُوْا مَنْ فَعَلَ هٰذَا بِاٰلِهَتِنَاۤ اِنَّهٗ لَمِنَ الظّٰلِمِیْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Qaloo man faAAala hatha bi-alihatinainnahu lamina aththalimeen
Saheeh International
They said, "Who has done this to our gods? Indeed, he is of the wrongdoers."
21:60
قَالُوْا سَمِعْنَا فَتًی یَّذْكُرُهُمْ یُقَالُ لَهٗۤ اِبْرٰهِیْمُ ۟ؕ
Transliteration
Qaloo samiAAna fatan yathkuruhumyuqalu lahu ibraheem
Saheeh International
They said, "We heard a young man mention them who is called Abraham."
21:61
قَالُوْا فَاْتُوْا بِهٖ عَلٰۤی اَعْیُنِ النَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ یَشْهَدُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Qaloo fa/too bihi AAalaaAAyuni annasi laAAallahum yashhadoon
Saheeh International
They said, "Then bring him before the eyes of the people that they may testify."
21:62
قَالُوْۤا ءَاَنْتَ فَعَلْتَ هٰذَا بِاٰلِهَتِنَا یٰۤاِبْرٰهِیْمُ ۟ؕ
Transliteration
Qaloo aanta faAAalta hatha bi-alihatinaya ibraheem
Saheeh International
They said, "Have you done this to our gods, O Abraham?"
21:63
قَالَ بَلْ فَعَلَهٗ ۖۗ كَبِیْرُهُمْ هٰذَا فَسْـَٔلُوْهُمْ اِنْ كَانُوْا یَنْطِقُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Qala bal faAAalahu kabeeruhum hathafas-aloohum in kanoo yantiqoon
Saheeh International
He said, "Rather, this - the largest of them - did it, so ask them, if they should [be able to] speak."
21:64
فَرَجَعُوْۤا اِلٰۤی اَنْفُسِهِمْ فَقَالُوْۤا اِنَّكُمْ اَنْتُمُ الظّٰلِمُوْنَ ۟ۙ
Transliteration
FarajaAAoo ila anfusihim faqalooinnakum antumu aththalimoon
Saheeh International
So they returned to [blaming] themselves and said [to each other], "Indeed, you are the wrongdoers."
21:65
ثُمَّ نُكِسُوْا عَلٰی رُءُوْسِهِمْ ۚ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا هٰۤؤُلَآءِ یَنْطِقُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Thumma nukisoo AAala ruoosihim laqadAAalimta ma haola-i yantiqoon
Saheeh International
Then they reversed themselves, [saying], "You have already known that these do not speak!"
21:66
قَالَ اَفَتَعْبُدُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ مَا لَا یَنْفَعُكُمْ شَیْـًٔا وَّلَا یَضُرُّكُمْ ۟ؕ
Transliteration
Qala afataAAbudoona min dooni Allahima la yanfaAAukum shay-an wala yadurrukum
Saheeh International
He said, "Then do you worship instead of Allāh that which does not benefit you at all or harm you?
21:67
اُفٍّ لَّكُمْ وَلِمَا تَعْبُدُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ ؕ اَفَلَا تَعْقِلُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Offin lakum walima taAAbudoona mindooni Allahi afala taAAqiloon
Saheeh International
Uff to you and to what you worship instead of Allāh. Then will you not use reason?"
21:68
قَالُوْا حَرِّقُوْهُ وَانْصُرُوْۤا اٰلِهَتَكُمْ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ فٰعِلِیْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Qaloo harriqoohu wansurooalihatakum in kuntum faAAileen
Saheeh International
They said, "Burn him and support your gods - if you are to act."
21:69
قُلْنَا یٰنَارُ كُوْنِیْ بَرْدًا وَّسَلٰمًا عَلٰۤی اِبْرٰهِیْمَ ۟ۙ
Transliteration
Qulna ya naru kooneebardan wasalaman AAala ibraheem
Saheeh International
We [i.e., Allāh] said, "O fire, be coolness and safety upon Abraham."
21:70
وَاَرَادُوْا بِهٖ كَیْدًا فَجَعَلْنٰهُمُ الْاَخْسَرِیْنَ ۟ۚ
Transliteration
Waaradoo bihi kaydan fajaAAalnahumual-akhsareen
Saheeh International
And they intended for him a plan [i.e., harm], but We made them the greatest losers.
21:71
وَنَجَّیْنٰهُ وَلُوْطًا اِلَی الْاَرْضِ الَّتِیْ بٰرَكْنَا فِیْهَا لِلْعٰلَمِیْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Wanajjaynahu walootan ilaal-ardi allatee barakna feeha lilAAalameen
Saheeh International
And We delivered him and Lot to the land which We had blessed for the worlds [i.e., peoples].
21:72
وَوَهَبْنَا لَهٗۤ اِسْحٰقَ ؕ وَیَعْقُوْبَ نَافِلَةً ؕ وَكُلًّا جَعَلْنَا صٰلِحِیْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Wawahabna lahu ishaqawayaAAqooba nafilatan wakullan jaAAalna saliheen
Saheeh International
And We gave him Isaac and Jacob in addition, and all [of them] We made righteous.
21:73
وَجَعَلْنٰهُمْ اَىِٕمَّةً یَّهْدُوْنَ بِاَمْرِنَا وَاَوْحَیْنَاۤ اِلَیْهِمْ فِعْلَ الْخَیْرٰتِ وَاِقَامَ الصَّلٰوةِ وَاِیْتَآءَ الزَّكٰوةِ ۚ وَكَانُوْا لَنَا عٰبِدِیْنَ ۟ۚۙ
Transliteration
WajaAAalnahum a-immatan yahdoonabi-amrina waawhayna ilayhim fiAAla alkhayratiwa-iqama assalati wa-eetaa azzakatiwakanoo lana AAabideen
Saheeh International
And We made them leaders guiding by Our command. And We inspired to them the doing of good deeds, establishment of prayer, and giving of zakāh; and they were worshippers of Us.
21:74
وَلُوْطًا اٰتَیْنٰهُ حُكْمًا وَّعِلْمًا وَّنَجَّیْنٰهُ مِنَ الْقَرْیَةِ الَّتِیْ كَانَتْ تَّعْمَلُ الْخَبٰٓىِٕثَ ؕ اِنَّهُمْ كَانُوْا قَوْمَ سَوْءٍ فٰسِقِیْنَ ۟ۙ
Transliteration
Walootan ataynahu hukmanwaAAilman wanajjaynahu mina alqaryati allatee kanattaAAmalu alkhaba-itha innahum kanoo qawma saw-in fasiqeen
Saheeh International
And to Lot We gave judgement and knowledge, and We saved him from the city that was committing wicked deeds. Indeed, they were a people of evil, defiantly disobedient.
21:75
وَاَدْخَلْنٰهُ فِیْ رَحْمَتِنَا ؕ اِنَّهٗ مِنَ الصّٰلِحِیْنَ ۟۠
Transliteration
Waadkhalnahu fee rahmatinainnahu mina assaliheen
Saheeh International
And We admitted him into Our mercy. Indeed, he was of the righteous.
21:76
وَنُوْحًا اِذْ نَادٰی مِنْ قَبْلُ فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهٗ فَنَجَّیْنٰهُ وَاَهْلَهٗ مِنَ الْكَرْبِ الْعَظِیْمِ ۟ۚ
Transliteration
Wanoohan ith nadamin qablu fastajabna lahu fanajjaynahuwaahlahu mina alkarbi alAAatheem
Saheeh International
And [mention] Noah, when he called [to Allāh] before [that time], so We responded to him and saved him and his family from the great affliction [i.e., the flood].
21:77
وَنَصَرْنٰهُ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الَّذِیْنَ كَذَّبُوْا بِاٰیٰتِنَا ؕ اِنَّهُمْ كَانُوْا قَوْمَ سَوْءٍ فَاَغْرَقْنٰهُمْ اَجْمَعِیْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Wanasarnahu mina alqawmi allatheenakaththaboo bi-ayatina innahum kanooqawma saw-in faaghraqnahum ajmaAAeen
Saheeh International
And We aided [i.e., saved] him from the people who denied Our signs. Indeed, they were a people of evil, so We drowned them, all together.
21:78
وَدَاوٗدَ وَسُلَیْمٰنَ اِذْ یَحْكُمٰنِ فِی الْحَرْثِ اِذْ نَفَشَتْ فِیْهِ غَنَمُ الْقَوْمِ ۚ وَكُنَّا لِحُكْمِهِمْ شٰهِدِیْنَ ۟ۗۙ
Transliteration
Wadawooda wasulaymana ithyahkumani fee alharthi ith nafashatfeehi ghanamu alqawmi wakunna lihukmihim shahideen
Saheeh International
And [mention] David and Solomon, when they judged concerning the field - when the sheep of a people overran it [at night], and We were witness to their judgement.
21:79
فَفَهَّمْنٰهَا سُلَیْمٰنَ ۚ وَكُلًّا اٰتَیْنَا حُكْمًا وَّعِلْمًا ؗ وَّسَخَّرْنَا مَعَ دَاوٗدَ الْجِبَالَ یُسَبِّحْنَ وَالطَّیْرَ ؕ وَكُنَّا فٰعِلِیْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Fafahhamnaha sulaymanawakullan atayna hukman waAAilman wasakhkharnamaAAa dawooda aljibala yusabbihna wattayrawakunna faAAileen
Saheeh International
And We gave understanding of it [i.e., the case] to Solomon, and to each [of them] We gave judgement and knowledge. And We subjected the mountains to exalt [Us], along with David and [also] the birds. And We were doing [that].
21:80
وَعَلَّمْنٰهُ صَنْعَةَ لَبُوْسٍ لَّكُمْ لِتُحْصِنَكُمْ مِّنْ بَاْسِكُمْ ۚ فَهَلْ اَنْتُمْ شٰكِرُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
WaAAallamnahu sanAAatalaboosin lakum lituhsinakum min ba/sikum fahal antum shakiroon
Saheeh International
And We taught him the fashioning of coats of armor to protect you from your [enemy in] battle. So will you then be grateful?
21:81
وَلِسُلَیْمٰنَ الرِّیْحَ عَاصِفَةً تَجْرِیْ بِاَمْرِهٖۤ اِلَی الْاَرْضِ الَّتِیْ بٰرَكْنَا فِیْهَا ؕ وَكُنَّا بِكُلِّ شَیْءٍ عٰلِمِیْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Walisulaymana arreehaAAasifatan tajree bi-amrihi ila al-ardiallatee barakna feeha wakunna bikullishay-in AAalimeen
Saheeh International
And to Solomon [We subjected] the wind, blowing forcefully, proceeding by his command toward the land which We had blessed. And We are ever, of all things, Knowing.
21:82
وَمِنَ الشَّیٰطِیْنِ مَنْ یَّغُوْصُوْنَ لَهٗ وَیَعْمَلُوْنَ عَمَلًا دُوْنَ ذٰلِكَ ۚ وَكُنَّا لَهُمْ حٰفِظِیْنَ ۟ۙ
Transliteration
Wamina ashshayateeni manyaghoosoona lahu wayaAAmaloona AAamalan doona thalikawakunna lahum hafitheen
Saheeh International
And of the devils [i.e., jinn] were those who dived for him and did work other than that. And We were of them a guardian.
21:83
وَاَیُّوْبَ اِذْ نَادٰی رَبَّهٗۤ اَنِّیْ مَسَّنِیَ الضُّرُّ وَاَنْتَ اَرْحَمُ الرّٰحِمِیْنَ ۟ۚۖ
Transliteration
Waayyooba ith nadarabbahu annee massaniya addurru waanta arhamuarrahimeen
Saheeh International
And [mention] Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, adversity has touched me, and You are the most merciful of the merciful."
21:84
فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهٗ فَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهٖ مِنْ ضُرٍّ وَّاٰتَیْنٰهُ اَهْلَهٗ وَمِثْلَهُمْ مَّعَهُمْ رَحْمَةً مِّنْ عِنْدِنَا وَذِكْرٰی لِلْعٰبِدِیْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Fastajabna lahu fakashafnama bihi min durrin waataynahu ahlahuwamithlahum maAAahum rahmatan min AAindina wathikralilAAabideen
Saheeh International
So We responded to him and removed what afflicted him of adversity. And We gave him [back] his family and the like thereof with them as mercy from Us and a reminder for the worshippers [of Allāh].
21:85
وَاِسْمٰعِیْلَ وَاِدْرِیْسَ وَذَا الْكِفْلِ ؕ كُلٌّ مِّنَ الصّٰبِرِیْنَ ۟ۚۖ
Transliteration
Wa-ismaAAeela wa-idreesa wathaalkifli kullun mina assabireen
Saheeh International
And [mention] Ishmael and Idrees and Dhul-Kifl; all were of the patient.
21:86
وَاَدْخَلْنٰهُمْ فِیْ رَحْمَتِنَا ؕ اِنَّهُمْ مِّنَ الصّٰلِحِیْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Waadkhalnahum fee rahmatinainnahum mina assaliheen
Saheeh International
And We admitted them into Our mercy. Indeed, they were of the righteous.
21:87
وَذَا النُّوْنِ اِذْ ذَّهَبَ مُغَاضِبًا فَظَنَّ اَنْ لَّنْ نَّقْدِرَ عَلَیْهِ فَنَادٰی فِی الظُّلُمٰتِ اَنْ لَّاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّاۤ اَنْتَ سُبْحٰنَكَ ۖۗ اِنِّیْ كُنْتُ مِنَ الظّٰلِمِیْنَ ۟ۚۖ
Transliteration
Watha annooni ith thahabamughadiban fathanna an lan naqdira AAalayhifanada fee aththulumatian la ilaha illa anta subhanaka inneekuntu mina aththalimeen
Saheeh International
And [mention] the man of the fish [i.e., Jonah], when he went off in anger and thought that We would not decree [anything] upon him. And he called out within the darknesses, "There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers."
21:88
فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهٗ ۙ وَنَجَّیْنٰهُ مِنَ الْغَمِّ ؕ وَكَذٰلِكَ نُـجِی الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Fastajabna lahu wanajjaynahumina alghammi wakathalika nunjee almu/mineen
Saheeh International
So We responded to him and saved him from the distress. And thus do We save the believers.
21:89
وَزَكَرِیَّاۤ اِذْ نَادٰی رَبَّهٗ رَبِّ لَا تَذَرْنِیْ فَرْدًا وَّاَنْتَ خَیْرُ الْوٰرِثِیْنَ ۟ۚۖ
Transliteration
Wazakariyya ith nadarabbahu rabbi la tatharnee fardan waanta khayru alwaritheen
Saheeh International
And [mention] Zechariah, when he called to his Lord, "My Lord, do not leave me alone [with no heir], while You are the best of inheritors."
21:90
فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهٗ ؗ وَوَهَبْنَا لَهٗ یَحْیٰی وَاَصْلَحْنَا لَهٗ زَوْجَهٗ ؕ اِنَّهُمْ كَانُوْا یُسٰرِعُوْنَ فِی الْخَیْرٰتِ وَیَدْعُوْنَنَا رَغَبًا وَّرَهَبًا ؕ وَكَانُوْا لَنَا خٰشِعِیْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Fastajabna lahu wawahabnalahu yahya waaslahna lahuzawjahu innahum kanoo yusariAAoona fee alkhayratiwayadAAoonana raghaban warahaban wakanoo lanakhashiAAeen
Saheeh International
So We responded to him, and We gave to him John, and amended for him his wife. Indeed, they used to hasten to good deeds and supplicate Us in hope and fear, and they were to Us humbly submissive.
21:91
وَالَّتِیْۤ اَحْصَنَتْ فَرْجَهَا فَنَفَخْنَا فِیْهَا مِنْ رُّوْحِنَا وَجَعَلْنٰهَا وَابْنَهَاۤ اٰیَةً لِّلْعٰلَمِیْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Wallatee ahsanat farjahafanafakhna feeha min roohinawajaAAalnaha wabnaha ayatanlilAAalameen
Saheeh International
And [mention] the one who guarded her chastity [i.e., Mary], so We blew into her [garment] through Our angel [i.e., Gabriel], and We made her and her son a sign for the worlds.
21:92
اِنَّ هٰذِهٖۤ اُمَّتُكُمْ اُمَّةً وَّاحِدَةً ۖؗ وَّاَنَا رَبُّكُمْ فَاعْبُدُوْنِ ۟
Transliteration
Inna hathihi ommatukum ommatan wahidatanwaana rabbukum faoAAbudoon
Saheeh International
Indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so worship Me.
21:93
وَتَقَطَّعُوْۤا اَمْرَهُمْ بَیْنَهُمْ ؕ كُلٌّ اِلَیْنَا رٰجِعُوْنَ ۟۠
Transliteration
WataqattaAAoo amrahum baynahum kullunilayna rajiAAoon
Saheeh International
And [yet] they divided their affair [i.e., that of their religion] among themselves, [but] all to Us will return.
21:94
فَمَنْ یَّعْمَلْ مِنَ الصّٰلِحٰتِ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَلَا كُفْرَانَ لِسَعْیِهٖ ۚ وَاِنَّا لَهٗ كٰتِبُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Faman yaAAmal mina assalihatiwahuwa mu/minun fala kufrana lisaAAyihi wa-innalahu katiboon
Saheeh International
So whoever does righteous deeds while he is a believer - no denial will there be for his effort, and indeed We [i.e., Our angels], of it, are recorders.
21:95
وَحَرٰمٌ عَلٰی قَرْیَةٍ اَهْلَكْنٰهَاۤ اَنَّهُمْ لَا یَرْجِعُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Waharamun AAalaqaryatin ahlaknaha annahum la yarjiAAoon
Saheeh International
And it is prohibited to [the people of] a city which We have destroyed that they will [ever] return
21:96
حَتّٰۤی اِذَا فُتِحَتْ یَاْجُوْجُ وَمَاْجُوْجُ وَهُمْ مِّنْ كُلِّ حَدَبٍ یَّنْسِلُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Hatta itha futihatya/jooju wama/jooju wahum min kulli hadabin yansiloon
Saheeh International
Until when [the dam of] Gog and Magog has been opened and they, from every elevation, descend
21:97
وَاقْتَرَبَ الْوَعْدُ الْحَقُّ فَاِذَا هِیَ شَاخِصَةٌ اَبْصَارُ الَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْا ؕ یٰوَیْلَنَا قَدْ كُنَّا فِیْ غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هٰذَا بَلْ كُنَّا ظٰلِمِیْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Waqtaraba alwaAAdu alhaqqufa-itha hiya shakhisatun absaru allatheenakafaroo ya waylana qad kunna fee ghaflatinmin hatha bal kunna thalimeen
Saheeh International
And [when] the true promise [i.e., the resurrection] has approached; then suddenly the eyes of those who disbelieved will be staring [in horror, while they say], "O woe to us; we had been unmindful of this; rather, we were wrongdoers."
21:98
اِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ حَصَبُ جَهَنَّمَ ؕ اَنْتُمْ لَهَا وٰرِدُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Innakum wama taAAbudoona min dooniAllahi hasabu jahannama antum laha waridoon
Saheeh International
Indeed, you [disbelievers] and what you worship other than Allāh are the firewood of Hell. You will be coming to [enter] it.
21:99
لَوْ كَانَ هٰۤؤُلَآءِ اٰلِهَةً مَّا وَرَدُوْهَا ؕ وَكُلٌّ فِیْهَا خٰلِدُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Law kana haola-i alihatanma waradooha wakullun feeha khalidoon
Saheeh International
Had these [false deities] been [actual] gods, they would not have come to it, but all are eternal therein.
21:100
لَهُمْ فِیْهَا زَفِیْرٌ وَّهُمْ فِیْهَا لَا یَسْمَعُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Lahum feeha zafeerun wahum feehala yasmaAAoon
Saheeh International
For them therein is heavy sighing, and they therein will not hear.
21:101
اِنَّ الَّذِیْنَ سَبَقَتْ لَهُمْ مِّنَّا الْحُسْنٰۤی ۙ اُولٰٓىِٕكَ عَنْهَا مُبْعَدُوْنَ ۟ۙ
Transliteration
Inna allatheena sabaqat lahum minnaalhusna ola-ika AAanha mubAAadoon
Saheeh International
Indeed, those for whom the best [reward] has preceded from Us - they are from it far removed.
21:102
لَا یَسْمَعُوْنَ حَسِیْسَهَا ۚ وَهُمْ فِیْ مَا اشْتَهَتْ اَنْفُسُهُمْ خٰلِدُوْنَ ۟ۚ
Transliteration
La yasmaAAoona haseesahawahum fee ma ishtahat anfusuhum khalidoon
Saheeh International
They will not hear its sound, while they are, in that which their souls desire, abiding eternally.
21:103
لَا یَحْزُنُهُمُ الْفَزَعُ الْاَكْبَرُ وَتَتَلَقّٰىهُمُ الْمَلٰٓىِٕكَةُ ؕ هٰذَا یَوْمُكُمُ الَّذِیْ كُنْتُمْ تُوْعَدُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
La yahzunuhumu alfazaAAual-akbaru watatalaqqahumu almala-ikatu hathayawmukumu allathee kuntum tooAAadoon
Saheeh International
They will not be grieved by the greatest terror, and the angels will meet them, [saying], "This is your Day which you have been promised" -
21:104
یَوْمَ نَطْوِی السَّمَآءَ كَطَیِّ السِّجِلِّ لِلْكُتُبِ ؕ كَمَا بَدَاْنَاۤ اَوَّلَ خَلْقٍ نُّعِیْدُهٗ ؕ وَعْدًا عَلَیْنَا ؕ اِنَّا كُنَّا فٰعِلِیْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Yawma natwee assamaakatayyi assijlli lilkutubi kama bada/naawwala khalqin nuAAeeduhu waAAdan AAalayna innakunna faAAileen
Saheeh International
The Day when We will fold the heaven like the folding of a [written] sheet for the records. As We began the first creation, We will repeat it. [That is] a promise binding upon Us. Indeed, We will do it.
21:105
وَلَقَدْ كَتَبْنَا فِی الزَّبُوْرِ مِنْ بَعْدِ الذِّكْرِ اَنَّ الْاَرْضَ یَرِثُهَا عِبَادِیَ الصّٰلِحُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Walaqad katabna fee azzaboorimin baAAdi aththikri anna al-arda yarithuhaAAibadiya assalihoon
Saheeh International
And We have already written in the book [of Psalms] after the [previous] mention that the land [of Paradise] is inherited by My righteous servants.
21:106
اِنَّ فِیْ هٰذَا لَبَلٰغًا لِّقَوْمٍ عٰبِدِیْنَ ۟ؕ
Transliteration
Inna fee hatha labalaghanliqawmin AAabideen
Saheeh International
Indeed, in this [Qur’ān] is notification for a worshipping people.
21:107
وَمَاۤ اَرْسَلْنٰكَ اِلَّا رَحْمَةً لِّلْعٰلَمِیْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Wama arsalnaka illa rahmatanlilAAalameen
Saheeh International
And We have not sent you, [O Muḥammad], except as a mercy to the worlds.
21:108
قُلْ اِنَّمَا یُوْحٰۤی اِلَیَّ اَنَّمَاۤ اِلٰهُكُمْ اِلٰهٌ وَّاحِدٌ ۚ فَهَلْ اَنْتُمْ مُّسْلِمُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Qul innama yooha ilayya annamailahukum ilahun wahidun fahal antummuslimoon
Saheeh International
Say, "It is only revealed to me that your god is but one God; so will you be Muslims [in submission to Him]?"
21:109
فَاِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَقُلْ اٰذَنْتُكُمْ عَلٰی سَوَآءٍ ؕ وَاِنْ اَدْرِیْۤ اَقَرِیْبٌ اَمْ بَعِیْدٌ مَّا تُوْعَدُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Fa-in tawallaw faqul athantukum AAalasawa-in wa-in adree aqareebun am baAAeedun matooAAadoon
Saheeh International
But if they turn away, then say, "I have announced to [all of] you equally. And I know not whether near or far is that which you are promised.
21:110
اِنَّهٗ یَعْلَمُ الْجَهْرَ مِنَ الْقَوْلِ وَیَعْلَمُ مَا تَكْتُمُوْنَ ۟
Transliteration
Innahu yaAAlamu aljahra mina alqawliwayaAAlamu ma taktumoon
Saheeh International
Indeed, He knows what is declared of speech, and He knows what you conceal.
21:111
وَاِنْ اَدْرِیْ لَعَلَّهٗ فِتْنَةٌ لَّكُمْ وَمَتَاعٌ اِلٰی حِیْنٍ ۟
Transliteration
Wa-in adree laAAallahu fitnatun lakum wamataAAunila heen
Saheeh International
And I know not; perhaps it is a trial for you and enjoyment for a time."
21:112
قٰلَ رَبِّ احْكُمْ بِالْحَقِّ ؕ وَرَبُّنَا الرَّحْمٰنُ الْمُسْتَعَانُ عَلٰی مَا تَصِفُوْنَ ۟۠
Transliteration
Qala rabbi ohkum bilhaqqiwarabbuna arrahmanu almustaAAanuAAala ma tasifoon
Saheeh International
[The Prophet (ﷺ)] has said, "My Lord, judge [between us] in truth. And our Lord is the Most Merciful, the one whose help is sought against that which you describe."
