الأنعام

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

6:1

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِیْ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضَ وَجَعَلَ الظُّلُمٰتِ وَالنُّوْرَ ؕ۬ ثُمَّ الَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْا بِرَبِّهِمْ یَعْدِلُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Alhamdu lillahi allatheekhalaqa assamawati wal-ardawajaAAala aththulumati wannoorathumma allatheena kafaroo birabbihim yaAAdiloon

Saheeh International

[All] praise is [due] to Allāh, who created the heavens and the earth and made the darkness and the light. Then those who disbelieve equate [others] with their Lord.

6:2

هُوَ الَّذِیْ خَلَقَكُمْ مِّنْ طِیْنٍ ثُمَّ قَضٰۤی اَجَلًا ؕ وَاَجَلٌ مُّسَمًّی عِنْدَهٗ ثُمَّ اَنْتُمْ تَمْتَرُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Huwa allathee khalaqakum min teeninthumma qada ajalan waajalun musamman AAindahu thumma antumtamtaroon

Saheeh International

It is He who created you from clay and then decreed a term and a specified time [known] to Him; then [still] you are in dispute.

6:3

وَهُوَ اللّٰهُ فِی السَّمٰوٰتِ وَفِی الْاَرْضِ ؕ یَعْلَمُ سِرَّكُمْ وَجَهْرَكُمْ وَیَعْلَمُ مَا تَكْسِبُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wahuwa Allahu fee assamawatiwafee al-ardi yaAAlamu sirrakum wajahrakum wayaAAlamu mataksiboon

Saheeh International

And He is Allāh, [the only deity] in the heavens and the earth. He knows your secret and what you make public, and He knows that which you earn.

6:4

وَمَا تَاْتِیْهِمْ مِّنْ اٰیَةٍ مِّنْ اٰیٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ اِلَّا كَانُوْا عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wama ta/teehim min ayatin min ayatirabbihim illa kanoo AAanha muAArideen

Saheeh International

And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they turn away therefrom.

6:5

فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوْا بِالْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ ؕ فَسَوْفَ یَاْتِیْهِمْ اَنْۢبٰٓؤُا مَا كَانُوْا بِهٖ یَسْتَهْزِءُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Faqad kaththaboo bilhaqqilamma jaahum fasawfa ya/teehim anbao makanoo bihi yastahzi-oon

Saheeh International

For they had denied the truth when it came to them, but there is going to reach them the news of what they used to ridicule.

6:6

اَلَمْ یَرَوْا كَمْ اَهْلَكْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِّنْ قَرْنٍ مَّكَّنّٰهُمْ فِی الْاَرْضِ مَا لَمْ نُمَكِّنْ لَّكُمْ وَاَرْسَلْنَا السَّمَآءَ عَلَیْهِمْ مِّدْرَارًا ۪ وَّجَعَلْنَا الْاَنْهٰرَ تَجْرِیْ مِنْ تَحْتِهِمْ فَاَهْلَكْنٰهُمْ بِذُنُوْبِهِمْ وَاَنْشَاْنَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا اٰخَرِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Alam yaraw kam ahlakna min qablihimmin qarnin makkannahum fee al-ardi ma lamnumakkin lakum waarsalna assamaa AAalayhimmidraran wajaAAalna al-anhara tajree min tahtihimfaahlaknahum bithunoobihim waansha/na minbaAAdihim qarnan akhareen

Saheeh International

Have they not seen how many generations We destroyed before them which We had established upon the earth as We have not established you? And We sent [rain from] the sky upon them in showers and made rivers flow beneath them; then We destroyed them for their sins and brought forth after them a generation of others.

6:7

وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَا عَلَیْكَ كِتٰبًا فِیْ قِرْطَاسٍ فَلَمَسُوْهُ بِاَیْدِیْهِمْ لَقَالَ الَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْۤا اِنْ هٰذَاۤ اِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِیْنٌ ۟

Transliteration

Walaw nazzalna AAalayka kitabanfee qirtasin falamasoohu bi-aydeehim laqala allatheenakafaroo in hatha illa sihrun mubeen

Saheeh International

And even if We had sent down to you, [O Muḥammad], a written scripture on a page and they touched it with their hands, the disbelievers would say, "This is not but obvious magic."

6:8

وَقَالُوْا لَوْلَاۤ اُنْزِلَ عَلَیْهِ مَلَكٌ ؕ وَلَوْ اَنْزَلْنَا مَلَكًا لَّقُضِیَ الْاَمْرُ ثُمَّ لَا یُنْظَرُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Waqaloo lawla onzila AAalayhimalakun walaw anzalna malakan laqudiya al-amruthumma la yuntharoon

Saheeh International

And they say, "Why was there not sent down to him an angel?" But if We had sent down an angel, the matter would have been decided; then they would not be reprieved.

6:9

وَلَوْ جَعَلْنٰهُ مَلَكًا لَّجَعَلْنٰهُ رَجُلًا وَّلَلَبَسْنَا عَلَیْهِمْ مَّا یَلْبِسُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Walaw jaAAalnahu malakan lajaAAalnahurajulan walalabasna AAalayhim ma yalbisoon

Saheeh International

And if We had made him [i.e., the messenger] an angel, We would have made him [appear as] a man, and We would have covered them with that in which they cover themselves [i.e., confusion and doubt].

6:10

وَلَقَدِ اسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّنْ قَبْلِكَ فَحَاقَ بِالَّذِیْنَ سَخِرُوْا مِنْهُمْ مَّا كَانُوْا بِهٖ یَسْتَهْزِءُوْنَ ۟۠

Transliteration

Walaqadi istuhzi-a birusulin min qablika fahaqabillatheena sakhiroo minhum ma kanoobihi yastahzi-oon

Saheeh International

And already were messengers ridiculed before you, but those who mocked them were enveloped by that which they used to ridicule.

6:11

قُلْ سِیْرُوْا فِی الْاَرْضِ ثُمَّ اَنْظُرُوْا كَیْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُكَذِّبِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Qul seeroo fee al-ardi thumma onthurookayfa kana AAaqibatu almukaththibeen

Saheeh International

Say, "Travel through the land; then observe how was the end of the deniers."

6:12

قُلْ لِّمَنْ مَّا فِی السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ ؕ قُلْ لِّلّٰهِ ؕ كَتَبَ عَلٰی نَفْسِهِ الرَّحْمَةَ ؕ لَیَجْمَعَنَّكُمْ اِلٰی یَوْمِ الْقِیٰمَةِ لَا رَیْبَ فِیْهِ ؕ اَلَّذِیْنَ خَسِرُوْۤا اَنْفُسَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا یُؤْمِنُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Qul liman ma fee assamawatiwal-ardi qul lillahi kataba AAalanafsihi arrahmata layajmaAAannakum ilayawmi alqiyamati la rayba feehi allatheenakhasiroo anfusahum fahum la yu/minoon

Saheeh International

Say, "To whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and earth?" Say, "To Allāh." He has decreed upon Himself mercy. He will surely assemble you for the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt. Those who will lose themselves [that Day] do not believe.

6:13

وَلَهٗ مَا سَكَنَ فِی الَّیْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ ؕ وَهُوَ السَّمِیْعُ الْعَلِیْمُ ۟

Transliteration

Walahu ma sakana fee allayli wannahariwahuwa assameeAAu alAAaleem

Saheeh International

And to Him belongs that which reposes by night and by day, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.

6:14

قُلْ اَغَیْرَ اللّٰهِ اَتَّخِذُ وَلِیًّا فَاطِرِ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَهُوَ یُطْعِمُ وَلَا یُطْعَمُ ؕ قُلْ اِنِّیْۤ اُمِرْتُ اَنْ اَكُوْنَ اَوَّلَ مَنْ اَسْلَمَ وَلَا تَكُوْنَنَّ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Qul aghayra Allahi attakhithuwaliyyan fatiri assamawati wal-ardiwahuwa yutAAimu wala yutAAamu qul inneeomirtu an akoona awwala man aslama wala takoonanna minaalmushrikeen

Saheeh International

Say, "Is it other than Allāh I should take as a protector, Creator of the heavens and earth, while it is He who feeds and is not fed?" Say, [O Muḥammad], "Indeed, I have been commanded to be the first [among you] who submit [to Allāh] and [was commanded], 'Do not ever be of the polytheists."

6:15

قُلْ اِنِّیْۤ اَخَافُ اِنْ عَصَیْتُ رَبِّیْ عَذَابَ یَوْمٍ عَظِیْمٍ ۟

Transliteration

Qul innee akhafu in AAasayturabbee AAathaba yawmin AAatheem

Saheeh International

Say, "Indeed I fear, if I should disobey my Lord, the punishment of a tremendous Day."

6:16

مَنْ یُّصْرَفْ عَنْهُ یَوْمَىِٕذٍ فَقَدْ رَحِمَهٗ ؕ وَذٰلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْمُبِیْنُ ۟

Transliteration

Man yusraf AAanhu yawma-ithinfaqad rahimahu wathalika alfawzu almubeen

Saheeh International

He from whom it is averted that Day - [Allāh] has granted him mercy. And that is the clear attainment.

6:17

وَاِنْ یَّمْسَسْكَ اللّٰهُ بِضُرٍّ فَلَا كَاشِفَ لَهٗۤ اِلَّا هُوَ ؕ وَاِنْ یَّمْسَسْكَ بِخَیْرٍ فَهُوَ عَلٰی كُلِّ شَیْءٍ قَدِیْرٌ ۟

Transliteration

Wa-in yamsaska Allahu bidurrinfala kashifa lahu illa huwa wa-in yamsaskabikhayrin fahuwa AAala kulli shay-in qadeer

Saheeh International

And if Allāh should touch you with adversity, there is no remover of it except Him. And if He touches you with good - then He is over all things competent.

6:18

وَهُوَ الْقَاهِرُ فَوْقَ عِبَادِهٖ ؕ وَهُوَ الْحَكِیْمُ الْخَبِیْرُ ۟

Transliteration

Wahuwa alqahiru fawqa AAibadihiwahuwa alhakeemu alkhabeer

Saheeh International

And He is the subjugator over His servants. And He is the Wise, the Aware.

6:19

قُلْ اَیُّ شَیْءٍ اَكْبَرُ شَهَادَةً ؕ قُلِ اللّٰهُ ۙ۫ شَهِیْدٌۢ بَیْنِیْ وَبَیْنَكُمْ ۫ وَاُوْحِیَ اِلَیَّ هٰذَا الْقُرْاٰنُ لِاُنْذِرَكُمْ بِهٖ وَمَنْ بَلَغَ ؕ اَىِٕنَّكُمْ لَتَشْهَدُوْنَ اَنَّ مَعَ اللّٰهِ اٰلِهَةً اُخْرٰی ؕ قُلْ لَّاۤ اَشْهَدُ ۚ قُلْ اِنَّمَا هُوَ اِلٰهٌ وَّاحِدٌ وَّاِنَّنِیْ بَرِیْٓءٌ مِّمَّا تُشْرِكُوْنَ ۟ۘ

Transliteration

Qul ayyu shay-in akbaru shahadatanquli Allahu shaheedun baynee wabaynakum waoohiyailayya hatha alqur-anu li-onthirakum bihiwaman balagha a-innakum latashhadoona anna maAAa Allahi alihatanokhra qul la ashhadu qul innama huwa ilahunwahidun wa-innanee baree-on mimma tushrikoon

Saheeh International

Say, "What thing is greatest in testimony?" Say, "Allāh is witness between me and you. And this Qur’ān was revealed to me that I may warn you thereby and whomever it reaches. Do you [truly] testify that with Allāh there are other deities?" Say, "I will not testify [with you]." Say, "Indeed, He is but one God, and indeed, I am free of what you associate [with Him]."

6:20

اَلَّذِیْنَ اٰتَیْنٰهُمُ الْكِتٰبَ یَعْرِفُوْنَهٗ كَمَا یَعْرِفُوْنَ اَبْنَآءَهُمْ ۘ اَلَّذِیْنَ خَسِرُوْۤا اَنْفُسَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا یُؤْمِنُوْنَ ۟۠

Transliteration

Allatheena ataynahumualkitaba yaAArifoonahu kama yaAArifoona abnaahumallatheena khasiroo anfusahum fahum la yu/minoon

Saheeh International

Those to whom We have given the Scripture recognize it as they recognize their [own] sons. Those who will lose themselves [in the Hereafter] do not believe.

6:21

وَمَنْ اَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرٰی عَلَی اللّٰهِ كَذِبًا اَوْ كَذَّبَ بِاٰیٰتِهٖ ؕ اِنَّهٗ لَا یُفْلِحُ الظّٰلِمُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Waman athlamu mimmani iftaraAAala Allahi kathiban aw kaththababi-ayatihi innahu la yuflihu aththalimoon

Saheeh International

And who is more unjust than one who invents about Allāh a lie or denies His verses? Indeed, the wrongdoers will not succeed.

6:22

وَیَوْمَ نَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِیْعًا ثُمَّ نَقُوْلُ لِلَّذِیْنَ اَشْرَكُوْۤا اَیْنَ شُرَكَآؤُكُمُ الَّذِیْنَ كُنْتُمْ تَزْعُمُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wayawma nahshuruhum jameeAAan thummanaqoolu lillatheena ashrakoo ayna shurakaokumu allatheenakuntum tazAAumoon

Saheeh International

And [mention, O Muḥammad], the Day We will gather them all together; then We will say to those who associated others with Allāh, "Where are your 'partners' that you used to claim [with Him]?"

6:23

ثُمَّ لَمْ تَكُنْ فِتْنَتُهُمْ اِلَّاۤ اَنْ قَالُوْا وَاللّٰهِ رَبِّنَا مَا كُنَّا مُشْرِكِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Thumma lam takun fitnatuhum illa an qaloowallahi rabbina ma kunnamushrikeen

Saheeh International

Then there will be no [excuse upon] examination except they will say, "By Allāh, our Lord, we were not those who associated."

6:24

اُنْظُرْ كَیْفَ كَذَبُوْا عَلٰۤی اَنْفُسِهِمْ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُمْ مَّا كَانُوْا یَفْتَرُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Onthur kayfa kathabooAAala anfusihim wadalla AAanhum ma kanooyaftaroon

Saheeh International

See how they will lie about themselves. And lost from them will be what they used to invent.

6:25

وَمِنْهُمْ مَّنْ یَّسْتَمِعُ اِلَیْكَ ۚ وَجَعَلْنَا عَلٰی قُلُوْبِهِمْ اَكِنَّةً اَنْ یَّفْقَهُوْهُ وَفِیْۤ اٰذَانِهِمْ وَقْرًا ؕ وَاِنْ یَّرَوْا كُلَّ اٰیَةٍ لَّا یُؤْمِنُوْا بِهَا ؕ حَتّٰۤی اِذَا جَآءُوْكَ یُجَادِلُوْنَكَ یَقُوْلُ الَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْۤا اِنْ هٰذَاۤ اِلَّاۤ اَسَاطِیْرُ الْاَوَّلِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Waminhum man yastamiAAu ilayka wajaAAalnaAAala quloobihim akinnatan an yafqahoohu wafee athanihimwaqran wa-in yaraw kulla ayatin la yu/minoo bihahatta itha jaooka yujadiloonakayaqoolu allatheena kafaroo in hatha illa asateerual-awwaleen

Saheeh International

And among them are those who listen to you, but We have placed over their hearts coverings, lest they understand it, and in their ears deafness. And if they should see every sign, they will not believe in it. Even when they come to you arguing with you, those who disbelieve say, "This is not but legends of the former peoples."

6:26

وَهُمْ یَنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ وَیَنْـَٔوْنَ عَنْهُ ۚ وَاِنْ یُّهْلِكُوْنَ اِلَّاۤ اَنْفُسَهُمْ وَمَا یَشْعُرُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wahum yanhawna AAanhu wayan-awna AAanhuwa-in yuhlikoona illa anfusahum wama yashAAuroon

Saheeh International

And they prevent [others] from him and are [themselves] remote from him. And they do not destroy except themselves, but they perceive [it] not.

6:27

وَلَوْ تَرٰۤی اِذْ وُقِفُوْا عَلَی النَّارِ فَقَالُوْا یٰلَیْتَنَا نُرَدُّ وَلَا نُكَذِّبَ بِاٰیٰتِ رَبِّنَا وَنَكُوْنَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Walaw tara ith wuqifoo AAalaannari faqaloo ya laytananuraddu wala nukaththiba bi-ayatirabbina wanakoona mina almu/mineen

Saheeh International

If you could but see when they are made to stand before the Fire and will say, "Oh, would that we could be returned [to life on earth] and not deny the signs of our Lord and be among the believers."

6:28

بَلْ بَدَا لَهُمْ مَّا كَانُوْا یُخْفُوْنَ مِنْ قَبْلُ ؕ وَلَوْ رُدُّوْا لَعَادُوْا لِمَا نُهُوْا عَنْهُ وَاِنَّهُمْ لَكٰذِبُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Bal bada lahum ma kanooyukhfoona min qablu walaw ruddoo laAAadoo limanuhoo AAanhu wa-innahum lakathiboon

Saheeh International

But what they concealed before has [now] appeared to them. And even if they were returned, they would return to that which they were forbidden; and indeed, they are liars.

6:29

وَقَالُوْۤا اِنْ هِیَ اِلَّا حَیَاتُنَا الدُّنْیَا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَبْعُوْثِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Waqaloo in hiya illa hayatunaaddunya wama nahnu bimabAAootheen

Saheeh International

And they say, "There is none but our worldly life, and we will not be resurrected."

6:30

وَلَوْ تَرٰۤی اِذْ وُقِفُوْا عَلٰی رَبِّهِمْ ؕ قَالَ اَلَیْسَ هٰذَا بِالْحَقِّ ؕ قَالُوْا بَلٰی وَرَبِّنَا ؕ قَالَ فَذُوْقُوا الْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْفُرُوْنَ ۟۠

Transliteration

Walaw tara ith wuqifoo AAalarabbihim qala alaysa hatha bilhaqqiqaloo bala warabbina qala fathooqooalAAathaba bima kuntum takfuroon

Saheeh International

If you could but see when they will be made to stand before their Lord. He will say, "Is this not the truth?" They will say, "Yes, by our Lord." He will [then] say, "So taste the punishment for what you used to deny."

6:31

قَدْ خَسِرَ الَّذِیْنَ كَذَّبُوْا بِلِقَآءِ اللّٰهِ ؕ حَتّٰۤی اِذَا جَآءَتْهُمُ السَّاعَةُ بَغْتَةً قَالُوْا یٰحَسْرَتَنَا عَلٰی مَا فَرَّطْنَا فِیْهَا ۙ وَهُمْ یَحْمِلُوْنَ اَوْزَارَهُمْ عَلٰی ظُهُوْرِهِمْ ؕ اَلَا سَآءَ مَا یَزِرُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Qad khasira allatheena kaththaboobiliqa-i Allahi hatta itha jaat-humuassaAAatu baghtatan qaloo ya hasratanaAAala ma farratna feeha wahumyahmiloona awzarahum AAala thuhoorihimala saa ma yaziroon

Saheeh International

Those will have lost who deny the meeting with Allāh, until when the Hour [of resurrection] comes upon them unexpectedly, they will say, "Oh, [how great is] our regret over what we neglected concerning it [i.e., the Hour]," while they bear their burdens [i.e., sins] on their backs. Unquestionably, evil is that which they bear.

6:32

وَمَا الْحَیٰوةُ الدُّنْیَاۤ اِلَّا لَعِبٌ وَّلَهْوٌ ؕ وَلَلدَّارُ الْاٰخِرَةُ خَیْرٌ لِّلَّذِیْنَ یَتَّقُوْنَ ؕ اَفَلَا تَعْقِلُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wama alhayatu addunyailla laAAibun walahwun waladdaru al-akhiratikhayrun lillatheena yattaqoona afala taAAqiloon

Saheeh International

And the worldly life is not but amusement and diversion; but the home of the Hereafter is best for those who fear Allāh, so will you not reason?

6:33

قَدْ نَعْلَمُ اِنَّهٗ لَیَحْزُنُكَ الَّذِیْ یَقُوْلُوْنَ فَاِنَّهُمْ لَا یُكَذِّبُوْنَكَ وَلٰكِنَّ الظّٰلِمِیْنَ بِاٰیٰتِ اللّٰهِ یَجْحَدُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Qad naAAlamu innahu layahzunuka allatheeyaqooloona fa-innahum la yukaththiboonaka walakinnaaththalimeena bi-ayatiAllahi yajhadoon

Saheeh International

We know that you, [O Muḥammad], are saddened by what they say. And indeed, they do not call you untruthful, but it is the verses of Allāh that the wrongdoers reject.

6:34

وَلَقَدْ كُذِّبَتْ رُسُلٌ مِّنْ قَبْلِكَ فَصَبَرُوْا عَلٰی مَا كُذِّبُوْا وَاُوْذُوْا حَتّٰۤی اَتٰىهُمْ نَصْرُنَا ۚ وَلَا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمٰتِ اللّٰهِ ۚ وَلَقَدْ جَآءَكَ مِنْ نَّبَاۡى الْمُرْسَلِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Walaqad kuththibat rusulun minqablika fasabaroo AAala ma kuththiboowaoothoo hatta atahum nasrunawala mubaddila likalimati Allahi walaqad jaakamin naba-i almursaleen

Saheeh International

And certainly were messengers denied before you, but they were patient over the denial, and they were harmed until Our victory came to them. And none can alter the words [i.e., decrees] of Allāh. And there has certainly come to you some information about the [previous] messengers.

6:35

وَاِنْ كَانَ كَبُرَ عَلَیْكَ اِعْرَاضُهُمْ فَاِنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ اَنْ تَبْتَغِیَ نَفَقًا فِی الْاَرْضِ اَوْ سُلَّمًا فِی السَّمَآءِ فَتَاْتِیَهُمْ بِاٰیَةٍ ؕ وَلَوْ شَآءَ اللّٰهُ لَجَمَعَهُمْ عَلَی الْهُدٰی فَلَا تَكُوْنَنَّ مِنَ الْجٰهِلِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wa-in kana kabura AAalayka iAAraduhumfa-ini istataAAta an tabtaghiya nafaqan fee al-ardiaw sullaman fee assama-i fata/tiyahum bi-ayatinwalaw shaa Allahu lajamaAAahum AAala alhudafala takoonanna mina aljahileen

Saheeh International

And if their evasion is difficult for you, then if you are able to seek a tunnel into the earth or a stairway into the sky to bring them a sign, [then do so]. But if Allāh had willed, He would have united them upon guidance. So never be of the ignorant.

6:36

اِنَّمَا یَسْتَجِیْبُ الَّذِیْنَ یَسْمَعُوْنَ ؔؕ وَالْمَوْتٰی یَبْعَثُهُمُ اللّٰهُ ثُمَّ اِلَیْهِ یُرْجَعُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Innama yastajeebu allatheenayasmaAAoona walmawta yabAAathuhumu Allahuthumma ilayhi yurjaAAoon

Saheeh International

Only those who hear will respond. But the dead - Allāh will resurrect them; then to Him they will be returned.

6:37

وَقَالُوْا لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ عَلَیْهِ اٰیَةٌ مِّنْ رَّبِّهٖ ؕ قُلْ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ قَادِرٌ عَلٰۤی اَنْ یُّنَزِّلَ اٰیَةً وَّلٰكِنَّ اَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا یَعْلَمُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Waqaloo lawla nuzzila AAalayhiayatun min rabbihi qul inna Allaha qadirunAAala an yunazzila ayatan walakinnaaktharahum la yaAAlamoon

Saheeh International

And they say, "Why has a sign not been sent down to him from his Lord?" Say, "Indeed, Allāh is Able to send down a sign, but most of them do not know."

6:38

وَمَا مِنْ دَآبَّةٍ فِی الْاَرْضِ وَلَا طٰٓىِٕرٍ یَّطِیْرُ بِجَنَاحَیْهِ اِلَّاۤ اُمَمٌ اَمْثَالُكُمْ ؕ مَا فَرَّطْنَا فِی الْكِتٰبِ مِنْ شَیْءٍ ثُمَّ اِلٰی رَبِّهِمْ یُحْشَرُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wama min dabbatin fee al-ardiwala ta-irin yateeru bijanahayhi illaomamun amthalukum ma farratna feealkitabi min shay-in thumma ila rabbihim yuhsharoon

Saheeh International

And there is no creature on [or within] the earth or bird that flies with its wings except [that they are] communities like you. We have not neglected in the Register a thing. Then unto their Lord they will be gathered.

6:39

وَالَّذِیْنَ كَذَّبُوْا بِاٰیٰتِنَا صُمٌّ وَّبُكْمٌ فِی الظُّلُمٰتِ ؕ مَنْ یَّشَاِ اللّٰهُ یُضْلِلْهُ ؕ وَمَنْ یَّشَاْ یَجْعَلْهُ عَلٰی صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِیْمٍ ۟

Transliteration

Wallatheena kaththaboobi-ayatina summun wabukmun fee aththulumatiman yasha-i Allahu yudlilhu waman yasha/ yajAAalhuAAala siratin mustaqeem

Saheeh International

But those who deny Our verses are deaf and dumb within darknesses. Whomever Allāh wills - He sends astray; and whomever He wills - He puts him on a straight path.

6:40

قُلْ اَرَءَیْتَكُمْ اِنْ اَتٰىكُمْ عَذَابُ اللّٰهِ اَوْ اَتَتْكُمُ السَّاعَةُ اَغَیْرَ اللّٰهِ تَدْعُوْنَ ۚ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صٰدِقِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Qul araaytakum in atakum AAathabuAllahi aw atatkumu assaAAatu aghayra AllahitadAAoona in kuntum sadiqeen

Saheeh International

Say, "Have you considered: if there came to you the punishment of Allāh or there came to you the Hour - is it other than Allāh you would invoke, if you should be truthful?"

6:41

بَلْ اِیَّاهُ تَدْعُوْنَ فَیَكْشِفُ مَا تَدْعُوْنَ اِلَیْهِ اِنْ شَآءَ وَتَنْسَوْنَ مَا تُشْرِكُوْنَ ۟۠

Transliteration

Bal iyyahu tadAAoona fayakshifu matadAAoona ilayhi in shaa watansawna ma tushrikoon

Saheeh International

No, it is Him [alone] you would invoke, and He would remove that for which you invoked Him if He willed, and you would forget what you associate [with Him].

6:42

وَلَقَدْ اَرْسَلْنَاۤ اِلٰۤی اُمَمٍ مِّنْ قَبْلِكَ فَاَخَذْنٰهُمْ بِالْبَاْسَآءِ وَالضَّرَّآءِ لَعَلَّهُمْ یَتَضَرَّعُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Walaqad arsalna ila omamin minqablika faakhathnahum bilba/sa-i waddarra-ilaAAallahum yatadarraAAoon

Saheeh International

And We have already sent [messengers] to nations before you, [O Muḥammad]; then We seized them with poverty and hardship that perhaps they might humble themselves [to Us].

6:43

فَلَوْلَاۤ اِذْ جَآءَهُمْ بَاْسُنَا تَضَرَّعُوْا وَلٰكِنْ قَسَتْ قُلُوْبُهُمْ وَزَیَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّیْطٰنُ مَا كَانُوْا یَعْمَلُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Falawla ith jaahumba/suna tadarraAAoo walakin qasat quloobuhumwazayyana lahumu ashshaytanu ma kanooyaAAmaloon

Saheeh International

Then why, when Our punishment came to them, did they not humble themselves? But their hearts became hardened, and Satan made attractive to them that which they were doing.

6:44

فَلَمَّا نَسُوْا مَا ذُكِّرُوْا بِهٖ فَتَحْنَا عَلَیْهِمْ اَبْوَابَ كُلِّ شَیْءٍ ؕ حَتّٰۤی اِذَا فَرِحُوْا بِمَاۤ اُوْتُوْۤا اَخَذْنٰهُمْ بَغْتَةً فَاِذَا هُمْ مُّبْلِسُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Falamma nasoo ma thukkiroobihi fatahna AAalayhim abwaba kulli shay-in hattaitha farihoo bima ootoo akhathnahumbaghtatan fa-itha hum mublisoon

Saheeh International

So when they forgot that by which they had been reminded, We opened to them the doors of every [good] thing until, when they rejoiced in that which they were given, We seized them suddenly, and they were [then] in despair.

6:45

فَقُطِعَ دَابِرُ الْقَوْمِ الَّذِیْنَ ظَلَمُوْا ؕ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

FaqutiAAa dabiru alqawmi allatheenathalamoo walhamdu lillahirabbi alAAalameen

Saheeh International

So the people that committed wrong were eliminated. And praise to Allāh, Lord of the worlds.

6:46

قُلْ اَرَءَیْتُمْ اِنْ اَخَذَ اللّٰهُ سَمْعَكُمْ وَاَبْصَارَكُمْ وَخَتَمَ عَلٰی قُلُوْبِكُمْ مَّنْ اِلٰهٌ غَیْرُ اللّٰهِ یَاْتِیْكُمْ بِهٖ ؕ اُنْظُرْ كَیْفَ نُصَرِّفُ الْاٰیٰتِ ثُمَّ هُمْ یَصْدِفُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Qul araaytum in akhatha AllahusamAAakum waabsarakum wakhatama AAala quloobikumman ilahun ghayru Allahi ya/teekum bihi onthurkayfa nusarrifu al-ayati thumma hum yasdifoon

Saheeh International

Say, "Have you considered: if Allāh should take away your hearing and your sight and set a seal upon your hearts, which deity other than Allāh could bring them [back] to you?" Look how We diversify the verses; then they [still] turn away.

6:47

قُلْ اَرَءَیْتَكُمْ اِنْ اَتٰىكُمْ عَذَابُ اللّٰهِ بَغْتَةً اَوْ جَهْرَةً هَلْ یُهْلَكُ اِلَّا الْقَوْمُ الظّٰلِمُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Qul araaytakum in atakum AAathabuAllahi baghtatan aw jahratan hal yuhlaku illaalqawmu aththalimoon

Saheeh International

Say, "Have you considered: if the punishment of Allāh should come to you unexpectedly or manifestly, will any be destroyed but the wrongdoing people?"

6:48

وَمَا نُرْسِلُ الْمُرْسَلِیْنَ اِلَّا مُبَشِّرِیْنَ وَمُنْذِرِیْنَ ۚ فَمَنْ اٰمَنَ وَاَصْلَحَ فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَیْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ یَحْزَنُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wama nursilu almursaleena illamubashshireena wamunthireena faman amana waaslahafala khawfun AAalayhim wala hum yahzanoon

Saheeh International

And We send not the messengers except as bringers of good tidings and warners. So whoever believes and reforms - there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.

6:49

وَالَّذِیْنَ كَذَّبُوْا بِاٰیٰتِنَا یَمَسُّهُمُ الْعَذَابُ بِمَا كَانُوْا یَفْسُقُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wallatheena kaththaboobi-ayatina yamassuhumu alAAathabu bimakanoo yafsuqoon

Saheeh International

But those who deny Our verses - the punishment will touch them for their defiant disobedience.

6:50

قُلْ لَّاۤ اَقُوْلُ لَكُمْ عِنْدِیْ خَزَآىِٕنُ اللّٰهِ وَلَاۤ اَعْلَمُ الْغَیْبَ وَلَاۤ اَقُوْلُ لَكُمْ اِنِّیْ مَلَكٌ ۚ اِنْ اَتَّبِعُ اِلَّا مَا یُوْحٰۤی اِلَیَّ ؕ قُلْ هَلْ یَسْتَوِی الْاَعْمٰی وَالْبَصِیْرُ ؕ اَفَلَا تَتَفَكَّرُوْنَ ۟۠

Transliteration

Qul la aqoolu lakum AAindee khaza-inuAllahi wala aAAlamu alghayba wala aqoolulakum innee malakun in attabiAAu illa ma yoohailayya qul hal yastawee al-aAAma walbaseeruafala tatafakkaroon

Saheeh International

Say, [O Muḥammad], "I do not tell you that I have the depositories [containing the provision] of Allāh or that I know the unseen, nor do I tell you that I am an angel. I only follow what is revealed to me." Say, "Is the blind equivalent to the seeing? Then will you not give thought?"

6:51

وَاَنْذِرْ بِهِ الَّذِیْنَ یَخَافُوْنَ اَنْ یُّحْشَرُوْۤا اِلٰی رَبِّهِمْ لَیْسَ لَهُمْ مِّنْ دُوْنِهٖ وَلِیٌّ وَّلَا شَفِیْعٌ لَّعَلَّهُمْ یَتَّقُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Waanthir bihi allatheena yakhafoonaan yuhsharoo ila rabbihim laysa lahum min doonihiwaliyyun wala shafeeAAun laAAallahum yattaqoon

Saheeh International

And warn by it [i.e., the Qur’ān] those who fear that they will be gathered before their Lord - for them besides Him will be no protector and no intercessor - that they might become righteous.

6:52

وَلَا تَطْرُدِ الَّذِیْنَ یَدْعُوْنَ رَبَّهُمْ بِالْغَدٰوةِ وَالْعَشِیِّ یُرِیْدُوْنَ وَجْهَهٗ ؕ مَا عَلَیْكَ مِنْ حِسَابِهِمْ مِّنْ شَیْءٍ وَّمَا مِنْ حِسَابِكَ عَلَیْهِمْ مِّنْ شَیْءٍ فَتَطْرُدَهُمْ فَتَكُوْنَ مِنَ الظّٰلِمِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wala tatrudi allatheenayadAAoona rabbahum bilghadati walAAashiyyiyureedoona wajhahu ma AAalayka min hisabihimmin shay-in wama min hisabika AAalayhim minshay-in fatatrudahum fatakoona mina aththalimeen

Saheeh International

And do not send away those who call upon their Lord morning and afternoon, seeking His face [i.e., favor]. Not upon you is anything of their account and not upon them is anything of your account. So were you to send them away, you would [then] be of the wrongdoers.

6:53

وَكَذٰلِكَ فَتَنَّا بَعْضَهُمْ بِبَعْضٍ لِّیَقُوْلُوْۤا اَهٰۤؤُلَآءِ مَنَّ اللّٰهُ عَلَیْهِمْ مِّنْ بَیْنِنَا ؕ اَلَیْسَ اللّٰهُ بِاَعْلَمَ بِالشّٰكِرِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wakathalika fatanna baAAdahumbibaAAdin liyaqooloo ahaola-i manna AllahuAAalayhim min baynina alaysa Allahu bi-aAAlama bishshakireen

Saheeh International

And thus We have tried some of them through others that they [i.e., the disbelievers] might say, "Is it these whom Allāh has favored among us?" Is not Allāh most knowing of those who are grateful?

6:54

وَاِذَا جَآءَكَ الَّذِیْنَ یُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِاٰیٰتِنَا فَقُلْ سَلٰمٌ عَلَیْكُمْ كَتَبَ رَبُّكُمْ عَلٰی نَفْسِهِ الرَّحْمَةَ ۙ اَنَّهٗ مَنْ عَمِلَ مِنْكُمْ سُوْٓءًا بِجَهَالَةٍ ثُمَّ تَابَ مِنْ بَعْدِهٖ وَاَصْلَحَ فَاَنَّهٗ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِیْمٌ ۟

Transliteration

Wa-itha jaaka allatheenayu/minoona bi-ayatina faqul salamunAAalaykum kataba rabbukum AAala nafsihi arrahmataannahu man AAamila minkum soo-an bijahalatin thumma tabamin baAAdihi waaslaha faannahu ghafoorun raheem

Saheeh International

And when those come to you who believe in Our verses, say, "Peace be upon you. Your Lord has decreed upon Himself mercy: that any of you who does wrong out of ignorance and then repents after that and corrects himself - indeed, He is Forgiving and Merciful."

6:55

وَكَذٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الْاٰیٰتِ وَلِتَسْتَبِیْنَ سَبِیْلُ الْمُجْرِمِیْنَ ۟۠

Transliteration

Wakathalika nufassilu al-ayatiwalitastabeena sabeelu almujrimeen

Saheeh International

And thus do We detail the verses, and [thus] the way of the criminals will become evident.

6:56

قُلْ اِنِّیْ نُهِیْتُ اَنْ اَعْبُدَ الَّذِیْنَ تَدْعُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ ؕ قُلْ لَّاۤ اَتَّبِعُ اَهْوَآءَكُمْ ۙ قَدْ ضَلَلْتُ اِذًا وَّمَاۤ اَنَا مِنَ الْمُهْتَدِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Qul innee nuheetu an aAAbuda allatheenatadAAoona min dooni Allahi qul la attabiAAu ahwaakumqad dalaltu ithan wama ana minaalmuhtadeen

Saheeh International

Say, "Indeed, I have been forbidden to worship those you invoke besides Allāh." Say, "I will not follow your desires, for I would then have gone astray, and I would not be of the [rightly] guided."

6:57

قُلْ اِنِّیْ عَلٰی بَیِّنَةٍ مِّنْ رَّبِّیْ وَكَذَّبْتُمْ بِهٖ ؕ مَا عِنْدِیْ مَا تَسْتَعْجِلُوْنَ بِهٖ ؕ اِنِ الْحُكْمُ اِلَّا لِلّٰهِ ؕ یَقُصُّ الْحَقَّ وَهُوَ خَیْرُ الْفٰصِلِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Qul innee AAala bayyinatin min rabbeewakaththabtum bihi ma AAindee matastaAAjiloona bihi ini alhukmu illa lillahiyaqussu alhaqqa wahuwa khayru alfasileen

Saheeh International

Say, "Indeed, I am on clear evidence from my Lord, and you have denied it. I do not have that for which you are impatient. The decision is only for Allāh. He relates the truth, and He is the best of deciders."

6:58

قُلْ لَّوْ اَنَّ عِنْدِیْ مَا تَسْتَعْجِلُوْنَ بِهٖ لَقُضِیَ الْاَمْرُ بَیْنِیْ وَبَیْنَكُمْ ؕ وَاللّٰهُ اَعْلَمُ بِالظّٰلِمِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Qul law anna AAindee matastaAAjiloona bihi laqudiya al-amru baynee wabaynakum wallahuaAAlamu biththalimeen

Saheeh International

Say, "If I had that for which you are impatient, the matter would have been decided between me and you, but Allāh is most knowing of the wrongdoers."

6:59

وَعِنْدَهٗ مَفَاتِحُ الْغَیْبِ لَا یَعْلَمُهَاۤ اِلَّا هُوَ ؕ وَیَعْلَمُ مَا فِی الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ ؕ وَمَا تَسْقُطُ مِنْ وَّرَقَةٍ اِلَّا یَعْلَمُهَا وَلَا حَبَّةٍ فِیْ ظُلُمٰتِ الْاَرْضِ وَلَا رَطْبٍ وَّلَا یَابِسٍ اِلَّا فِیْ كِتٰبٍ مُّبِیْنٍ ۟

Transliteration

WaAAindahu mafatihu alghaybi layaAAlamuha illa huwa wayaAAlamu ma feealbarri walbahri wama tasqutu minwaraqatin illa yaAAlamuha wala habbatinfee thulumati al-ardi wala ratbinwala yabisin illa fee kitabin mubeen

Saheeh International

And with Him are the keys of the unseen; none knows them except Him. And He knows what is on the land and in the sea. Not a leaf falls but that He knows it. And no grain is there within the darknesses of the earth and no moist or dry [thing] but that it is [written] in a clear record.

6:60

وَهُوَ الَّذِیْ یَتَوَفّٰىكُمْ بِالَّیْلِ وَیَعْلَمُ مَا جَرَحْتُمْ بِالنَّهَارِ ثُمَّ یَبْعَثُكُمْ فِیْهِ لِیُقْضٰۤی اَجَلٌ مُّسَمًّی ۚ ثُمَّ اِلَیْهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ ثُمَّ یُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُوْنَ ۟۠

Transliteration

Wahuwa allathee yatawaffakumbillayli wayaAAlamu ma jarahtum binnaharithumma yabAAathukum feehi liyuqda ajalun musamman thummailayhi marjiAAukum thumma yunabbi-okum bima kuntumtaAAmaloon

Saheeh International

And it is He who takes your souls by night and knows what you have committed by day. Then He revives you therein [i.e., by day] that a specified term may be fulfilled. Then to Him will be your return; then He will inform you about what you used to do.

6:61

وَهُوَ الْقَاهِرُ فَوْقَ عِبَادِهٖ وَیُرْسِلُ عَلَیْكُمْ حَفَظَةً ؕ حَتّٰۤی اِذَا جَآءَ اَحَدَكُمُ الْمَوْتُ تَوَفَّتْهُ رُسُلُنَا وَهُمْ لَا یُفَرِّطُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wahuwa alqahiru fawqa AAibadihiwayursilu AAalaykum hafathatan hattaitha jaa ahadakumu almawtu tawaffat-hurusuluna wahum la yufarritoon

Saheeh International

And He is the subjugator over His servants, and He sends over you guardian-angels until, when death comes to one of you, Our messengers [i.e., angels of death] take him, and they do not fail [in their duties].

6:62

ثُمَّ رُدُّوْۤا اِلَی اللّٰهِ مَوْلٰىهُمُ الْحَقِّ ؕ اَلَا لَهُ الْحُكْمُ ۫ وَهُوَ اَسْرَعُ الْحٰسِبِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Thumma ruddoo ila Allahi mawlahumualhaqqi ala lahu alhukmu wahuwa asraAAu alhasibeen

Saheeh International

Then they [i.e., His servants] are returned to Allāh, their true Lord. Unquestionably, His is the judgement, and He is the swiftest of accountants.

6:63

قُلْ مَنْ یُّنَجِّیْكُمْ مِّنْ ظُلُمٰتِ الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ تَدْعُوْنَهٗ تَضَرُّعًا وَّخُفْیَةً ۚ لَىِٕنْ اَنْجٰىنَا مِنْ هٰذِهٖ لَنَكُوْنَنَّ مِنَ الشّٰكِرِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Qul man yunajjeekum min thulumatialbarri walbahri tadAAoonahu tadarruAAanwakhufyatan la-in anjana min hathihilanakoonanna mina ashshakireen

Saheeh International

Say, "Who rescues you from the darknesses of the land and sea [when] you call upon Him imploring [aloud] and privately, 'If He should save us from this [crisis], we will surely be among the thankful.'"

6:64

قُلِ اللّٰهُ یُنَجِّیْكُمْ مِّنْهَا وَمِنْ كُلِّ كَرْبٍ ثُمَّ اَنْتُمْ تُشْرِكُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Quli Allahu yunajjeekum minhawamin kulli karbin thumma antum tushrikoon

Saheeh International

Say, "It is Allāh who saves you from it and from every distress; then you [still] associate others with Him."

6:65

قُلْ هُوَ الْقَادِرُ عَلٰۤی اَنْ یَّبْعَثَ عَلَیْكُمْ عَذَابًا مِّنْ فَوْقِكُمْ اَوْ مِنْ تَحْتِ اَرْجُلِكُمْ اَوْ یَلْبِسَكُمْ شِیَعًا وَّیُذِیْقَ بَعْضَكُمْ بَاْسَ بَعْضٍ ؕ اُنْظُرْ كَیْفَ نُصَرِّفُ الْاٰیٰتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ یَفْقَهُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Qul huwa alqadiru AAala anyabAAatha AAalaykum AAathaban min fawqikum aw min tahtiarjulikum aw yalbisakum shiyaAAan wayutheeqa baAAdakumba/sa baAAdin onthur kayfa nusarrifual-ayati laAAallahum yafqahoon

Saheeh International

Say, "He is the [one] Able to send upon you affliction from above you or from beneath your feet or to confuse you [so you become] sects and make you taste the violence of one another." Look how We diversify the signs that they might understand.

6:66

وَكَذَّبَ بِهٖ قَوْمُكَ وَهُوَ الْحَقُّ ؕ قُلْ لَّسْتُ عَلَیْكُمْ بِوَكِیْلٍ ۟ؕ

Transliteration

Wakaththaba bihi qawmuka wahuwa alhaqququl lastu AAalaykum biwakeel

Saheeh International

But your people have denied it while it is the truth. Say, "I am not over you a manager [i.e., authority]."

6:67

لِكُلِّ نَبَاٍ مُّسْتَقَرٌّ ؗ وَّسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Likulli naba-in mustaqarrun wasawfataAAlamoon

Saheeh International

For every news [i.e., happening] is a finality; and you are going to know.

6:68

وَاِذَا رَاَیْتَ الَّذِیْنَ یَخُوْضُوْنَ فِیْۤ اٰیٰتِنَا فَاَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ حَتّٰی یَخُوْضُوْا فِیْ حَدِیْثٍ غَیْرِهٖ ؕ وَاِمَّا یُنْسِیَنَّكَ الشَّیْطٰنُ فَلَا تَقْعُدْ بَعْدَ الذِّكْرٰی مَعَ الْقَوْمِ الظّٰلِمِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wa-itha raayta allatheenayakhoodoona fee ayatina faaAAridAAanhum hatta yakhoodoo fee hadeethinghayrihi wa-imma yunsiyannaka ashshaytanufala taqAAud baAAda aththikra maAAaalqawmi aththalimeen

Saheeh International

And when you see those who engage in [offensive] discourse concerning Our verses, then turn away from them until they enter into another conversation. And if Satan should cause you to forget, then do not remain after the reminder with the wrongdoing people.

6:69

وَمَا عَلَی الَّذِیْنَ یَتَّقُوْنَ مِنْ حِسَابِهِمْ مِّنْ شَیْءٍ وَّلٰكِنْ ذِكْرٰی لَعَلَّهُمْ یَتَّقُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wama AAala allatheenayattaqoona min hisabihim min shay-in walakinthikra laAAallahum yattaqoon

Saheeh International

And those who fear Allāh are not held accountable for them [i.e., the disbelievers] at all, but [only for] a reminder - that perhaps they will fear Him.

6:70

وَذَرِ الَّذِیْنَ اتَّخَذُوْا دِیْنَهُمْ لَعِبًا وَّلَهْوًا وَّغَرَّتْهُمُ الْحَیٰوةُ الدُّنْیَا وَذَكِّرْ بِهٖۤ اَنْ تُبْسَلَ نَفْسٌ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ ۖۗ لَیْسَ لَهَا مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ وَلِیٌّ وَّلَا شَفِیْعٌ ۚ وَاِنْ تَعْدِلْ كُلَّ عَدْلٍ لَّا یُؤْخَذْ مِنْهَا ؕ اُولٰٓىِٕكَ الَّذِیْنَ اُبْسِلُوْا بِمَا كَسَبُوْا ۚ لَهُمْ شَرَابٌ مِّنْ حَمِیْمٍ وَّعَذَابٌ اَلِیْمٌ بِمَا كَانُوْا یَكْفُرُوْنَ ۟۠

Transliteration

Wathari allatheena ittakhathoodeenahum laAAiban walahwan wagharrat-humu alhayatuaddunya wathakkir bihi an tubsala nafsunbima kasabat laysa laha min dooni Allahiwaliyyun wala shafeeAAun wa-in taAAdil kulla AAadlin layu/khath minha ola-ika allatheenaobsiloo bima kasaboo lahum sharabun min hameeminwaAAathabun aleemun bima kanoo yakfuroon

Saheeh International

And leave those who take their religion as amusement and diversion and whom the worldly life has deluded. But remind with it [i.e., the Qur’ān], lest a soul be given up to destruction for what it earned; it will have other than Allāh no protector and no intercessor. And if it should offer every compensation, it would not be taken from it [i.e., that soul]. Those are the ones who are given to destruction for what they have earned. For them will be a drink of scalding water and a painful punishment because they used to disbelieve.

6:71

قُلْ اَنَدْعُوْا مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ مَا لَا یَنْفَعُنَا وَلَا یَضُرُّنَا وَنُرَدُّ عَلٰۤی اَعْقَابِنَا بَعْدَ اِذْ هَدٰىنَا اللّٰهُ كَالَّذِی اسْتَهْوَتْهُ الشَّیٰطِیْنُ فِی الْاَرْضِ حَیْرَانَ ۪ لَهٗۤ اَصْحٰبٌ یَّدْعُوْنَهٗۤ اِلَی الْهُدَی ائْتِنَا ؕ قُلْ اِنَّ هُدَی اللّٰهِ هُوَ الْهُدٰی ؕ وَاُمِرْنَا لِنُسْلِمَ لِرَبِّ الْعٰلَمِیْنَ ۟ۙ

Transliteration

Qul anadAAoo min dooni Allahi mala yanfaAAuna wala yadurrunawanuraddu AAala aAAqabina baAAda ithhadana Allahu kallathee istahwat-huashshayateenu fee al-ardi hayranalahu as-habun yadAAoonahu ila alhudai/tina qul inna huda Allahi huwa alhudawaomirna linuslima lirabbi alAAalameen

Saheeh International

Say, "Shall we invoke instead of Allāh that which neither benefits us nor harms us and be turned back on our heels after Allāh has guided us? [We would then be] like one whom the devils enticed [to wander] upon the earth confused, [while] he has companions inviting him to guidance, [calling], 'Come to us.'" Say, "Indeed, the guidance of Allāh is the [only] guidance; and we have been commanded to submit to the Lord of the worlds.

6:72

وَاَنْ اَقِیْمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَاتَّقُوْهُ ؕ وَهُوَ الَّذِیْۤ اِلَیْهِ تُحْشَرُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Waan aqeemoo assalatawattaqoohu wahuwa allathee ilayhi tuhsharoon

Saheeh International

And to establish prayer and fear Him." And it is He to whom you will be gathered.

6:73

وَهُوَ الَّذِیْ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ ؕ وَیَوْمَ یَقُوْلُ كُنْ فَیَكُوْنُ ؕ۬ قَوْلُهُ الْحَقُّ ؕ وَلَهُ الْمُلْكُ یَوْمَ یُنْفَخُ فِی الصُّوْرِ ؕ عٰلِمُ الْغَیْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ ؕ وَهُوَ الْحَكِیْمُ الْخَبِیْرُ ۟

Transliteration

Wahuwa allathee khalaqa assamawatiwal-arda bilhaqqi wayawma yaqoolukun fayakoonu qawluhu alhaqqu walahu almulku yawmayunfakhu fee assoori AAalimu alghaybi washshahadatiwahuwa alhakeemu alkhabeer

Saheeh International

And it is He who created the heavens and earth in truth. And the day [i.e., whenever] He says, "Be," and it is, His word is the truth. And His is the dominion [on] the Day the Horn is blown. [He is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed; and He is the Wise, the Aware.

6:74

وَاِذْ قَالَ اِبْرٰهِیْمُ لِاَبِیْهِ اٰزَرَ اَتَتَّخِذُ اَصْنَامًا اٰلِهَةً ۚ اِنِّیْۤ اَرٰىكَ وَقَوْمَكَ فِیْ ضَلٰلٍ مُّبِیْنٍ ۟

Transliteration

Wa-ith qala ibraheemuli-abeehi azara atattakhithu asnaman alihataninnee araka waqawmaka fee dalalin mubeen

Saheeh International

And [mention, O Muḥammad], when Abraham said to his father Āzar, "Do you take idols as deities? Indeed, I see you and your people to be in manifest error."

6:75

وَكَذٰلِكَ نُرِیْۤ اِبْرٰهِیْمَ مَلَكُوْتَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَلِیَكُوْنَ مِنَ الْمُوْقِنِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wakathalika nuree ibraheemamalakoota assamawati wal-ardiwaliyakoona mina almooqineen

Saheeh International

And thus did We show Abraham the realm of the heavens and the earth that he would be among the certain [in faith].

6:76

فَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَیْهِ الَّیْلُ رَاٰ كَوْكَبًا ۚ قَالَ هٰذَا رَبِّیْ ۚ فَلَمَّاۤ اَفَلَ قَالَ لَاۤ اُحِبُّ الْاٰفِلِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Falamma janna AAalayhi allaylu raakawkaban qala hatha rabbee falamma afala qalala ohibbu al-afileen

Saheeh International

So when the night covered him [with darkness], he saw a star. He said, "This is my lord." But when it set, he said, "I like not those that set [i.e., disappear]."

6:77

فَلَمَّا رَاَ الْقَمَرَ بَازِغًا قَالَ هٰذَا رَبِّیْ ۚ فَلَمَّاۤ اَفَلَ قَالَ لَىِٕنْ لَّمْ یَهْدِنِیْ رَبِّیْ لَاَكُوْنَنَّ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الضَّآلِّیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Falamma raa alqamara bazighanqala hatha rabbee falamma afala qalala-in lam yahdinee rabbee laakoonanna mina alqawmi addalleen

Saheeh International

And when he saw the moon rising, he said, "This is my lord." But when it set, he said, "Unless my Lord guides me, I will surely be among the people gone astray."

6:78

فَلَمَّا رَاَ الشَّمْسَ بَازِغَةً قَالَ هٰذَا رَبِّیْ هٰذَاۤ اَكْبَرُ ۚ فَلَمَّاۤ اَفَلَتْ قَالَ یٰقَوْمِ اِنِّیْ بَرِیْٓءٌ مِّمَّا تُشْرِكُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Falamma raa ashshamsabazighatan qala hatha rabbee hathaakbaru falamma afalat qala ya qawmi inneebaree-on mimma tushrikoon

Saheeh International

And when he saw the sun rising, he said, "This is my lord; this is greater." But when it set, he said, "O my people, indeed I am free from what you associate with Allāh.

6:79

اِنِّیْ وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِیَ لِلَّذِیْ فَطَرَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضَ حَنِیْفًا وَّمَاۤ اَنَا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِیْنَ ۟ۚ

Transliteration

Innee wajjahtu wajhiya lillathee fataraassamawati wal-arda haneefanwama ana mina almushrikeen

Saheeh International

Indeed, I have turned my face [i.e., self] toward He who created the heavens and the earth, inclining toward truth, and I am not of those who associate others with Allāh."

6:80

وَحَآجَّهٗ قَوْمُهٗ ؕ قَالَ اَتُحَآجُّوْٓنِّیْ فِی اللّٰهِ وَقَدْ هَدٰىنِ ؕ وَلَاۤ اَخَافُ مَا تُشْرِكُوْنَ بِهٖۤ اِلَّاۤ اَنْ یَّشَآءَ رَبِّیْ شَیْـًٔا ؕ وَسِعَ رَبِّیْ كُلَّ شَیْءٍ عِلْمًا ؕ اَفَلَا تَتَذَكَّرُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wahajjahu qawmuhu qala atuhajjoonneefee Allahi waqad hadani wala akhafu matushrikoona bihi illa an yashaa rabbee shay-anwasiAAa rabbee kulla shay-in AAilman afala tatathakkaroon

Saheeh International

And his people argued with him. He said, "Do you argue with me concerning Allāh while He has guided me? And I fear not what you associate with Him [and will not be harmed] unless my Lord should will something. My Lord encompasses all things in knowledge; then will you not remember?

6:81

وَكَیْفَ اَخَافُ مَاۤ اَشْرَكْتُمْ وَلَا تَخَافُوْنَ اَنَّكُمْ اَشْرَكْتُمْ بِاللّٰهِ مَا لَمْ یُنَزِّلْ بِهٖ عَلَیْكُمْ سُلْطٰنًا ؕ فَاَیُّ الْفَرِیْقَیْنِ اَحَقُّ بِالْاَمْنِ ۚ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُوْنَ ۟ۘ

Transliteration

Wakayfa akhafu ma ashraktumwala takhafoona annakum ashraktum billahima lam yunazzil bihi AAalaykum sultanan faayyualfareeqayni ahaqqu bil-amni in kuntum taAAlamoon

Saheeh International

And how should I fear what you associate while you do not fear that you have associated with Allāh that for which He has not sent down to you any authority? So which of the two parties has more right to security, if you should know?"

6:82

اَلَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَلَمْ یَلْبِسُوْۤا اِیْمَانَهُمْ بِظُلْمٍ اُولٰٓىِٕكَ لَهُمُ الْاَمْنُ وَهُمْ مُّهْتَدُوْنَ ۟۠

Transliteration

Allatheena amanoo walamyalbisoo eemanahum bithulmin ola-ikalahumu al-amnu wahum muhtadoon

Saheeh International

They who believe and do not mix their belief with injustice - those will have security, and they are [rightly] guided.

6:83

وَتِلْكَ حُجَّتُنَاۤ اٰتَیْنٰهَاۤ اِبْرٰهِیْمَ عَلٰی قَوْمِهٖ ؕ نَرْفَعُ دَرَجٰتٍ مَّنْ نَّشَآءُ ؕ اِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِیْمٌ عَلِیْمٌ ۟

Transliteration

Watilka hujjatuna ataynahaibraheema AAala qawmihi narfaAAu darajatinman nashao inna rabbaka hakeemun AAaleem

Saheeh International

And that was Our [conclusive] argument which We gave Abraham against his people. We raise by degrees whom We will. Indeed, your Lord is Wise and Knowing.

6:84

وَوَهَبْنَا لَهٗۤ اِسْحٰقَ وَیَعْقُوْبَ ؕ كُلًّا هَدَیْنَا ۚ وَنُوْحًا هَدَیْنَا مِنْ قَبْلُ وَمِنْ ذُرِّیَّتِهٖ دَاوٗدَ وَسُلَیْمٰنَ وَاَیُّوْبَ وَیُوْسُفَ وَمُوْسٰی وَهٰرُوْنَ ؕ وَكَذٰلِكَ نَجْزِی الْمُحْسِنِیْنَ ۟ۙ

Transliteration

Wawahabna lahu ishaqawayaAAqooba kullan hadayna wanoohan hadaynamin qablu wamin thurriyyatihi dawooda wasulaymanawaayyooba wayoosufa wamoosa waharoona wakathalikanajzee almuhsineen

Saheeh International

And We gave to him [i.e., Abraham] Isaac and Jacob - all [of them] We guided. And Noah, We guided before; and among his descendants, David and Solomon and Job and Joseph and Moses and Aaron. Thus do We reward the doers of good.

6:85

وَزَكَرِیَّا وَیَحْیٰی وَعِیْسٰی وَاِلْیَاسَ ؕ كُلٌّ مِّنَ الصّٰلِحِیْنَ ۟ۙ

Transliteration

Wazakariyya wayahyawaAAeesa walyasa kullun mina assaliheen

Saheeh International

And Zechariah and John and Jesus and Elias - and all were of the righteous.

6:86

وَاِسْمٰعِیْلَ وَالْیَسَعَ وَیُوْنُسَ وَلُوْطًا ؕ وَكُلًّا فَضَّلْنَا عَلَی الْعٰلَمِیْنَ ۟ۙ

Transliteration

Wa-ismaAAeela walyasaAAawayoonusa walootan wakullan faddalna AAalaalAAalameen

Saheeh International

And Ishmael and Elisha and Jonah and Lot - and all [of them] We preferred over the worlds.

6:87

وَمِنْ اٰبَآىِٕهِمْ وَذُرِّیّٰتِهِمْ وَاِخْوَانِهِمْ ۚ وَاجْتَبَیْنٰهُمْ وَهَدَیْنٰهُمْ اِلٰی صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِیْمٍ ۟

Transliteration

Wamin aba-ihim wathurriyyatihimwa-ikhwanihim wajtabaynahum wahadaynahumila siratin mustaqeem

Saheeh International

And [some] among their fathers and their descendants and their brothers - and We chose them and We guided them to a straight path.

6:88

ذٰلِكَ هُدَی اللّٰهِ یَهْدِیْ بِهٖ مَنْ یَّشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهٖ ؕ وَلَوْ اَشْرَكُوْا لَحَبِطَ عَنْهُمْ مَّا كَانُوْا یَعْمَلُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Thalika huda Allahiyahdee bihi man yashao min AAibadihi walaw ashrakoolahabita AAanhum ma kanoo yaAAmaloon

Saheeh International

That is the guidance of Allāh by which He guides whomever He wills of His servants. But if they had associated others with Allāh, then worthless for them would be whatever they were doing.

6:89

اُولٰٓىِٕكَ الَّذِیْنَ اٰتَیْنٰهُمُ الْكِتٰبَ وَالْحُكْمَ وَالنُّبُوَّةَ ۚ فَاِنْ یَّكْفُرْ بِهَا هٰۤؤُلَآءِ فَقَدْ وَكَّلْنَا بِهَا قَوْمًا لَّیْسُوْا بِهَا بِكٰفِرِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Ola-ika allatheena ataynahumualkitaba walhukma wannubuwwatafa-in yakfur biha haola-i faqad wakkalnabiha qawman laysoo biha bikafireen

Saheeh International

Those are the ones to whom We gave the Scripture and authority and prophethood. But if they [i.e., the disbelievers] deny it, then We have entrusted it to a people who are not therein disbelievers.

6:90

اُولٰٓىِٕكَ الَّذِیْنَ هَدَی اللّٰهُ فَبِهُدٰىهُمُ اقْتَدِهْ ؕ قُلْ لَّاۤ اَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَیْهِ اَجْرًا ؕ اِنْ هُوَ اِلَّا ذِكْرٰی لِلْعٰلَمِیْنَ ۟۠

Transliteration

Ola-ika allatheena hadaAllahu fabihudahumu iqtadih qul la as-alukumAAalayhi ajran in huwa illa thikra lilAAalameen

Saheeh International

Those are the ones whom Allāh has guided, so from their guidance take an example. Say, "I ask of you for it [i.e., this message] no payment. It is not but a reminder for the worlds."

6:91

وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللّٰهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهٖۤ اِذْ قَالُوْا مَاۤ اَنْزَلَ اللّٰهُ عَلٰی بَشَرٍ مِّنْ شَیْءٍ ؕ قُلْ مَنْ اَنْزَلَ الْكِتٰبَ الَّذِیْ جَآءَ بِهٖ مُوْسٰی نُوْرًا وَّهُدًی لِّلنَّاسِ تَجْعَلُوْنَهٗ قَرَاطِیْسَ تُبْدُوْنَهَا وَتُخْفُوْنَ كَثِیْرًا ۚ وَعُلِّمْتُمْ مَّا لَمْ تَعْلَمُوْۤا اَنْتُمْ وَلَاۤ اٰبَآؤُكُمْ ؕ قُلِ اللّٰهُ ۙ ثُمَّ ذَرْهُمْ فِیْ خَوْضِهِمْ یَلْعَبُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wama qadaroo Allaha haqqaqadrihi ith qaloo ma anzala AllahuAAala basharin min shay-in qul man anzala alkitabaallathee jaa bihi moosa nooran wahudan linnasitajAAaloonahu qarateesa tubdoonaha watukhfoonakatheeran waAAullimtum ma lam taAAlamoo antum wala abaokumquli Allahu thumma tharhum fee khawdihimyalAAaboon

Saheeh International

And they did not appraise Allāh with true appraisal when they said, "Allāh did not reveal to a human being anything." Say, "Who revealed the Scripture that Moses brought as light and guidance to the people? You [Jews] make it into pages, disclosing [some of] it and concealing much. And you were taught that which you knew not - neither you nor your fathers." Say, "Allāh [revealed it]." Then leave them in their [empty] discourse, amusing themselves.

6:92

وَهٰذَا كِتٰبٌ اَنْزَلْنٰهُ مُبٰرَكٌ مُّصَدِّقُ الَّذِیْ بَیْنَ یَدَیْهِ وَلِتُنْذِرَ اُمَّ الْقُرٰی وَمَنْ حَوْلَهَا ؕ وَالَّذِیْنَ یُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِالْاٰخِرَةِ یُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِهٖ وَهُمْ عَلٰی صَلَاتِهِمْ یُحَافِظُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wahatha kitabun anzalnahumubarakun musaddiqu allathee bayna yadayhiwalitunthira omma alqura waman hawlahawallatheena yu/minoona bil-akhiratiyu/minoona bihi wahum AAala salatihim yuhafithoon

Saheeh International

And this is a Book which We have sent down, blessed and confirming what was before it, that you may warn the Mother of Cities [i.e., Makkah] and those around it. Those who believe in the Hereafter believe in it, and they are maintaining their prayers.

6:93

وَمَنْ اَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرٰی عَلَی اللّٰهِ كَذِبًا اَوْ قَالَ اُوْحِیَ اِلَیَّ وَلَمْ یُوْحَ اِلَیْهِ شَیْءٌ وَّمَنْ قَالَ سَاُنْزِلُ مِثْلَ مَاۤ اَنْزَلَ اللّٰهُ ؕ وَلَوْ تَرٰۤی اِذِ الظّٰلِمُوْنَ فِیْ غَمَرٰتِ الْمَوْتِ وَالْمَلٰٓىِٕكَةُ بَاسِطُوْۤا اَیْدِیْهِمْ ۚ اَخْرِجُوْۤا اَنْفُسَكُمْ ؕ اَلْیَوْمَ تُجْزَوْنَ عَذَابَ الْهُوْنِ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَقُوْلُوْنَ عَلَی اللّٰهِ غَیْرَ الْحَقِّ وَكُنْتُمْ عَنْ اٰیٰتِهٖ تَسْتَكْبِرُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Waman athlamu mimmani iftaraAAala Allahi kathiban aw qala oohiyailayya walam yooha ilayhi shay-on waman qalasaonzilu mithla ma anzala Allahu walaw taraithi aththalimoona fee ghamaratialmawti walmala-ikatu basitooaydeehim akhrijoo anfusakumu alyawma tujzawna AAathabaalhooni bima kuntum taqooloona AAala Allahighayra alhaqqi wakuntum AAan ayatihitastakbiroon

Saheeh International

And who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allāh or says, "It has been inspired to me," while nothing has been inspired to him, and one who says, "I will reveal [something] like what Allāh revealed." And if you could but see when the wrongdoers are in the overwhelming pangs of death while the angels extend their hands, [saying], "Discharge your souls! Today you will be awarded the punishment of [extreme] humiliation for what you used to say against Allāh other than the truth and [that] you were, toward His verses, being arrogant."

6:94

وَلَقَدْ جِئْتُمُوْنَا فُرَادٰی كَمَا خَلَقْنٰكُمْ اَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَّتَرَكْتُمْ مَّا خَوَّلْنٰكُمْ وَرَآءَ ظُهُوْرِكُمْ ۚ وَمَا نَرٰی مَعَكُمْ شُفَعَآءَكُمُ الَّذِیْنَ زَعَمْتُمْ اَنَّهُمْ فِیْكُمْ شُرَكٰٓؤُا ؕ لَقَدْ تَّقَطَّعَ بَیْنَكُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنْكُمْ مَّا كُنْتُمْ تَزْعُمُوْنَ ۟۠

Transliteration

Walaqad ji/tumoona furadakama khalaqnakum awwala marratin wataraktum makhawwalnakum waraa thuhoorikum wamanara maAAakum shufaAAaakumu allatheenazaAAamtum annahum feekum shurakao laqad taqattaAAabaynakum wadalla AAankum ma kuntum tazAAumoon

Saheeh International

[It will be said to them], "And you have certainly come to Us alone [i.e., individually] as We created you the first time, and you have left whatever We bestowed upon you behind you. And We do not see with you your 'intercessors' which you claimed that they were among you associates [of Allāh]. It has [all] been severed between you, and lost from you is what you used to claim."

6:95

اِنَّ اللّٰهَ فَالِقُ الْحَبِّ وَالنَّوٰی ؕ یُخْرِجُ الْحَیَّ مِنَ الْمَیِّتِ وَمُخْرِجُ الْمَیِّتِ مِنَ الْحَیِّ ؕ ذٰلِكُمُ اللّٰهُ فَاَنّٰی تُؤْفَكُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Inna Allaha faliqu alhabbiwannawa yukhriju alhayya mina almayyitiwamukhriju almayyiti mina alhayyi thalikumu Allahufaanna tu/fakoon

Saheeh International

Indeed, Allāh is the cleaver of grain and date seeds. He brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the living. That is Allāh; so how are you deluded?

6:96

فَالِقُ الْاِصْبَاحِ ۚ وَجَعَلَ الَّیْلَ سَكَنًا وَّالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ حُسْبَانًا ؕ ذٰلِكَ تَقْدِیْرُ الْعَزِیْزِ الْعَلِیْمِ ۟

Transliteration

Faliqu al-isbahiwajaAAala allayla sakanan washshamsa walqamara husbananthalika taqdeeru alAAazeezi alAAaleem

Saheeh International

[He is] the cleaver of daybreak and has made the night for rest and the sun and moon for calculation. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.

6:97

وَهُوَ الَّذِیْ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ النُّجُوْمَ لِتَهْتَدُوْا بِهَا فِیْ ظُلُمٰتِ الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ ؕ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا الْاٰیٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ یَّعْلَمُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wahuwa allathee jaAAala lakumu annujoomalitahtadoo biha fee thulumati albarriwalbahri qad fassalna al-ayatiliqawmin yaAAlamoon

Saheeh International

And it is He who placed for you the stars that you may be guided by them through the darknesses of the land and sea. We have detailed the signs for a people who know.

6:98

وَهُوَ الَّذِیْۤ اَنْشَاَكُمْ مِّنْ نَّفْسٍ وَّاحِدَةٍ فَمُسْتَقَرٌّ وَّمُسْتَوْدَعٌ ؕ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا الْاٰیٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ یَّفْقَهُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wahuwa allathee anshaakum min nafsinwahidatin famustaqarrun wamustawdaAAun qad fassalnaal-ayati liqawmin yafqahoon

Saheeh International

And it is He who produced you from one soul and [gave you] a place of dwelling and of storage. We have detailed the signs for a people who understand.

6:99

وَهُوَ الَّذِیْۤ اَنْزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَآءِ مَآءً ۚ فَاَخْرَجْنَا بِهٖ نَبَاتَ كُلِّ شَیْءٍ فَاَخْرَجْنَا مِنْهُ خَضِرًا نُّخْرِجُ مِنْهُ حَبًّا مُّتَرَاكِبًا ۚ وَمِنَ النَّخْلِ مِنْ طَلْعِهَا قِنْوَانٌ دَانِیَةٌ وَّجَنّٰتٍ مِّنْ اَعْنَابٍ وَّالزَّیْتُوْنَ وَالرُّمَّانَ مُشْتَبِهًا وَّغَیْرَ مُتَشَابِهٍ ؕ اُنْظُرُوْۤا اِلٰی ثَمَرِهٖۤ اِذَاۤ اَثْمَرَ وَیَنْعِهٖ ؕ اِنَّ فِیْ ذٰلِكُمْ لَاٰیٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ یُّؤْمِنُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wahuwa allathee anzala mina assama-imaan faakhrajna bihi nabata kulli shay-infaakhrajna minhu khadiran nukhriju minhu habbanmutarakiban wamina annakhli min talAAihaqinwanun daniyatun wajannatin min aAAnabinwazzaytoona warrummana mushtabihanwaghayra mutashabihin onthuroo ilathamarihi itha athmara wayanAAihi inna fee thalikumlaayatin liqawmin yu/minoon

Saheeh International

And it is He who sends down rain from the sky, and We produce thereby the growth of all things. We produce from it greenery from which We produce grains arranged in layers. And from the palm trees - of its emerging fruit are clusters hanging low. And [We produce] gardens of grapevines and olives and pomegranates, similar yet varied. Look at [each of] its fruit when it yields and [at] its ripening. Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe.

6:100

وَجَعَلُوْا لِلّٰهِ شُرَكَآءَ الْجِنَّ وَخَلَقَهُمْ وَخَرَقُوْا لَهٗ بَنِیْنَ وَبَنٰتٍ بِغَیْرِ عِلْمٍ ؕ سُبْحٰنَهٗ وَتَعٰلٰی عَمَّا یَصِفُوْنَ ۟۠

Transliteration

WajaAAaloo lillahi shurakaaaljinna wakhalaqahum wakharaqoo lahu baneena wabanatinbighayri AAilmin subhanahu wataAAala AAammayasifoon

Saheeh International

But they have attributed to Allāh partners - the jinn, while He has created them - and have fabricated for Him sons and daughters without knowledge. Exalted is He and high above what they describe.

6:101

بَدِیْعُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ ؕ اَنّٰی یَكُوْنُ لَهٗ وَلَدٌ وَّلَمْ تَكُنْ لَّهٗ صَاحِبَةٌ ؕ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَیْءٍ ۚ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَیْءٍ عَلِیْمٌ ۟

Transliteration

BadeeAAu assamawatiwal-ardi anna yakoonu lahu waladun walamtakun lahu sahibatun wakhalaqa kulla shay-in wahuwabikulli shay-in AAaleem

Saheeh International

[He is] Originator of the heavens and the earth. How could He have a son when He does not have a companion [i.e., wife] and He created all things? And He is, of all things, Knowing.

6:102

ذٰلِكُمُ اللّٰهُ رَبُّكُمْ ۚ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ ۚ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَیْءٍ فَاعْبُدُوْهُ ۚ وَهُوَ عَلٰی كُلِّ شَیْءٍ وَّكِیْلٌ ۟

Transliteration

Thalikumu Allahu rabbukum lailaha illa huwa khaliqu kulli shay-in faAAbudoohuwahuwa AAala kulli shay-in wakeel

Saheeh International

That is Allāh, your Lord; there is no deity except Him, the Creator of all things, so worship Him. And He is Disposer of all things.

6:103

لَا تُدْرِكُهُ الْاَبْصَارُ ؗ وَهُوَ یُدْرِكُ الْاَبْصَارَ ۚ وَهُوَ اللَّطِیْفُ الْخَبِیْرُ ۟

Transliteration

La tudrikuhu al-absaru wahuwayudriku al-absara wahuwa allateefu alkhabeer

Saheeh International

Vision perceives Him not, but He perceives [all] vision; and He is the Subtle, the Aware.

6:104

قَدْ جَآءَكُمْ بَصَآىِٕرُ مِنْ رَّبِّكُمْ ۚ فَمَنْ اَبْصَرَ فَلِنَفْسِهٖ ۚ وَمَنْ عَمِیَ فَعَلَیْهَا ؕ وَمَاۤ اَنَا عَلَیْكُمْ بِحَفِیْظٍ ۟

Transliteration

Qad jaakum basa-iru minrabbikum faman absara falinafsihi waman AAamiya faAAalayhawama ana AAalaykum bihafeeth

Saheeh International

There has come to you enlightenment from your Lord. So whoever will see does so for [the benefit of] his soul, and whoever is blind [does harm] against it. And [say], "I am not a guardian over you."

6:105

وَكَذٰلِكَ نُصَرِّفُ الْاٰیٰتِ وَلِیَقُوْلُوْا دَرَسْتَ وَلِنُبَیِّنَهٗ لِقَوْمٍ یَّعْلَمُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wakathalika nusarrifu al-ayatiwaliyaqooloo darasta walinubayyinahu liqawmin yaAAlamoon

Saheeh International

And thus do We diversify the verses so they [i.e., the disbelievers] will say, "You have studied," and so We may make it [i.e., the Qur’ān] clear for a people who know.

6:106

اِتَّبِعْ مَاۤ اُوْحِیَ اِلَیْكَ مِنْ رَّبِّكَ ۚ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ ۚ وَاَعْرِضْ عَنِ الْمُشْرِكِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

IttabiAA ma oohiya ilayka minrabbika la ilaha illa huwa waaAAridAAani almushrikeen

Saheeh International

Follow, [O Muḥammad], what has been revealed to you from your Lord - there is no deity except Him - and turn away from those who associate others with Allāh.

6:107

وَلَوْ شَآءَ اللّٰهُ مَاۤ اَشْرَكُوْا ؕ وَمَا جَعَلْنٰكَ عَلَیْهِمْ حَفِیْظًا ۚ وَمَاۤ اَنْتَ عَلَیْهِمْ بِوَكِیْلٍ ۟

Transliteration

Walaw shaa Allahu maashrakoo wama jaAAalnaka AAalayhim hafeethanwama anta AAalayhim biwakeel

Saheeh International

But if Allāh had willed, they would not have associated. And We have not appointed you over them as a guardian, nor are you a manager over them.

6:108

وَلَا تَسُبُّوا الَّذِیْنَ یَدْعُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ فَیَسُبُّوا اللّٰهَ عَدْوًا بِغَیْرِ عِلْمٍ ؕ كَذٰلِكَ زَیَّنَّا لِكُلِّ اُمَّةٍ عَمَلَهُمْ ۪ ثُمَّ اِلٰی رَبِّهِمْ مَّرْجِعُهُمْ فَیُنَبِّئُهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوْا یَعْمَلُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wala tasubboo allatheenayadAAoona min dooni Allahi fayasubboo AllahaAAadwan bighayri AAilmin kathalika zayyanna likulliommatin AAamalahum thumma ila rabbihim marjiAAuhumfayunabbi-ohum bima kanoo yaAAmaloon

Saheeh International

And do not insult those they invoke other than Allāh, lest they insult Allāh in enmity without knowledge. Thus We have made pleasing to every community their deeds. Then to their Lord is their return, and He will inform them about what they used to do.

6:109

وَاَقْسَمُوْا بِاللّٰهِ جَهْدَ اَیْمَانِهِمْ لَىِٕنْ جَآءَتْهُمْ اٰیَةٌ لَّیُؤْمِنُنَّ بِهَا ؕ قُلْ اِنَّمَا الْاٰیٰتُ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ وَمَا یُشْعِرُكُمْ ۙ اَنَّهَاۤ اِذَا جَآءَتْ لَا یُؤْمِنُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Waaqsamoo billahi jahda aymanihimla-in jaat-hum ayatun layu/minunna biha qulinnama al-ayatu AAinda Allahi wamayushAAirukum annaha itha jaat layu/minoon

Saheeh International

And they swear by Allāh their strongest oaths that if a sign came to them, they would surely believe in it. Say, "The signs are only with [i.e., from] Allāh." And what will make you perceive that even if it [i.e., a sign] came, they would not believe.

6:110

وَنُقَلِّبُ اَفْـِٕدَتَهُمْ وَاَبْصَارَهُمْ كَمَا لَمْ یُؤْمِنُوْا بِهٖۤ اَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَّنَذَرُهُمْ فِیْ طُغْیَانِهِمْ یَعْمَهُوْنَ ۟۠

Transliteration

Wanuqallibu af-idatahum waabsarahumkama lam yu/minoo bihi awwala marratin wanatharuhumfee tughyanihim yaAAmahoon

Saheeh International

And We will turn away their hearts and their eyes just as they refused to believe in it [i.e., the revelation] the first time. And We will leave them in their transgression, wandering blindly.

6:111

وَلَوْ اَنَّنَا نَزَّلْنَاۤ اِلَیْهِمُ الْمَلٰٓىِٕكَةَ وَكَلَّمَهُمُ الْمَوْتٰی وَحَشَرْنَا عَلَیْهِمْ كُلَّ شَیْءٍ قُبُلًا مَّا كَانُوْا لِیُؤْمِنُوْۤا اِلَّاۤ اَنْ یَّشَآءَ اللّٰهُ وَلٰكِنَّ اَكْثَرَهُمْ یَجْهَلُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Walaw annana nazzalnailayhimu almala-ikata wakallamahumu almawta wahasharnaAAalayhim kulla shay-in qubulan ma kanoo liyu/minooilla an yashaa Allahu walakinnaaktharahum yajhaloon

Saheeh International

And even if We had sent down to them the angels [with the message] and the dead spoke to them [of it] and We gathered together every [created] thing in front of them, they would not believe unless Allāh should will. But most of them, [of that], are ignorant.

6:112

وَكَذٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِیٍّ عَدُوًّا شَیٰطِیْنَ الْاِنْسِ وَالْجِنِّ یُوْحِیْ بَعْضُهُمْ اِلٰی بَعْضٍ زُخْرُفَ الْقَوْلِ غُرُوْرًا ؕ وَلَوْ شَآءَ رَبُّكَ مَا فَعَلُوْهُ فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا یَفْتَرُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wakathalika jaAAalna likullinabiyyin AAaduwwan shayateena al-insi waljinni yooheebaAAduhum ila baAAdin zukhrufa alqawlighurooran walaw shaa rabbuka ma faAAaloohu fatharhumwama yaftaroon

Saheeh International

And thus We have made for every prophet an enemy - devils from mankind and jinn, inspiring to one another decorative speech in delusion. But if your Lord had willed, they would not have done it, so leave them and that which they invent.

6:113

وَلِتَصْغٰۤی اِلَیْهِ اَفْـِٕدَةُ الَّذِیْنَ لَا یُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِالْاٰخِرَةِ وَلِیَرْضَوْهُ وَلِیَقْتَرِفُوْا مَا هُمْ مُّقْتَرِفُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Walitasgha ilayhi af-idatuallatheena la yu/minoona bil-akhiratiwaliyardawhu waliyaqtarifoo ma hum muqtarifoon

Saheeh International

And [it is] so the hearts of those who disbelieve in the Hereafter will incline toward it [i.e., deceptive speech] and that they will be satisfied with it and that they will commit that which they are committing.

6:114

اَفَغَیْرَ اللّٰهِ اَبْتَغِیْ حَكَمًا وَّهُوَ الَّذِیْۤ اَنْزَلَ اِلَیْكُمُ الْكِتٰبَ مُفَصَّلًا ؕ وَالَّذِیْنَ اٰتَیْنٰهُمُ الْكِتٰبَ یَعْلَمُوْنَ اَنَّهٗ مُنَزَّلٌ مِّنْ رَّبِّكَ بِالْحَقِّ فَلَا تَكُوْنَنَّ مِنَ الْمُمْتَرِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Afaghayra Allahi abtaghee hakamanwahuwa allathee anzala ilaykumu alkitaba mufassalanwallatheena ataynahumu alkitabayaAAlamoona annahu munazzalun min rabbika bilhaqqifala takoonanna mina almumtareen

Saheeh International

[Say], "Then is it other than Allāh I should seek as judge while it is He who has revealed to you the Book [i.e., the Qur’ān] explained in detail?" And those to whom We [previously] gave the Scripture know that it is sent down from your Lord in truth, so never be among the doubters.

6:115

وَتَمَّتْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ صِدْقًا وَّعَدْلًا ؕ لَا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمٰتِهٖ ۚ وَهُوَ السَّمِیْعُ الْعَلِیْمُ ۟

Transliteration

Watammat kalimatu rabbika sidqanwaAAadlan la mubaddila likalimatihi wahuwa assameeAAualAAaleem

Saheeh International

And the word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and in justice. None can alter His words, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.

6:116

وَاِنْ تُطِعْ اَكْثَرَ مَنْ فِی الْاَرْضِ یُضِلُّوْكَ عَنْ سَبِیْلِ اللّٰهِ ؕ اِنْ یَّتَّبِعُوْنَ اِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَاِنْ هُمْ اِلَّا یَخْرُصُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wa-in tutiAA akthara man fee al-ardiyudillooka AAan sabeeli Allahi in yattabiAAoona illaaththanna wa-in hum illa yakhrusoon

Saheeh International

And if you obey most of those upon the earth, they will mislead you from the way of Allāh. They follow not except assumption, and they are not but misjudging.

6:117

اِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ اَعْلَمُ مَنْ یَّضِلُّ عَنْ سَبِیْلِهٖ ۚ وَهُوَ اَعْلَمُ بِالْمُهْتَدِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Inna rabbaka huwa aAAlamu man yadilluAAan sabeelihi wahuwa aAAlamu bilmuhtadeen

Saheeh International

Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who strays from His way, and He is most knowing of the [rightly] guided.

6:118

فَكُلُوْا مِمَّا ذُكِرَ اسْمُ اللّٰهِ عَلَیْهِ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ بِاٰیٰتِهٖ مُؤْمِنِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Fakuloo mimma thukira ismuAllahi AAalayhi in kuntum bi-ayatihimu/mineen

Saheeh International

So eat of that [meat] upon which the name of Allāh has been mentioned, if you are believers in His verses [i.e., revealed law].

6:119

وَمَا لَكُمْ اَلَّا تَاْكُلُوْا مِمَّا ذُكِرَ اسْمُ اللّٰهِ عَلَیْهِ وَقَدْ فَصَّلَ لَكُمْ مَّا حَرَّمَ عَلَیْكُمْ اِلَّا مَا اضْطُرِرْتُمْ اِلَیْهِ ؕ وَاِنَّ كَثِیْرًا لَّیُضِلُّوْنَ بِاَهْوَآىِٕهِمْ بِغَیْرِ عِلْمٍ ؕ اِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ اَعْلَمُ بِالْمُعْتَدِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wama lakum alla ta/kuloo mimmathukira ismu Allahi AAalayhi waqad fassalalakum ma harrama AAalaykum illa ma idturirtumilayhi wa-inna katheeran layudilloona bi-ahwa-ihimbighayri AAilmin inna rabbaka huwa aAAlamu bilmuAAtadeen

Saheeh International

And why should you not eat of that upon which the name of Allāh has been mentioned while He has explained in detail to you what He has forbidden you, excepting that to which you are compelled. And indeed do many lead [others] astray through their [own] inclinations without knowledge. Indeed, your Lord - He is most knowing of the transgressors.

6:120

وَذَرُوْا ظَاهِرَ الْاِثْمِ وَبَاطِنَهٗ ؕ اِنَّ الَّذِیْنَ یَكْسِبُوْنَ الْاِثْمَ سَیُجْزَوْنَ بِمَا كَانُوْا یَقْتَرِفُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Watharoo thahiraal-ithmi wabatinahu inna allatheena yaksiboonaal-ithma sayujzawna bima kanoo yaqtarifoon

Saheeh International

And leave [i.e., desist from] what is apparent of sin and what is concealed thereof. Indeed, those who earn [blame for] sin will be recompensed for that which they used to commit.

6:121

وَلَا تَاْكُلُوْا مِمَّا لَمْ یُذْكَرِ اسْمُ اللّٰهِ عَلَیْهِ وَاِنَّهٗ لَفِسْقٌ ؕ وَاِنَّ الشَّیٰطِیْنَ لَیُوْحُوْنَ اِلٰۤی اَوْلِیٰٓـِٕهِمْ لِیُجَادِلُوْكُمْ ۚ وَاِنْ اَطَعْتُمُوْهُمْ اِنَّكُمْ لَمُشْرِكُوْنَ ۟۠

Transliteration

Wala ta/kuloo mimma lam yuthkariismu Allahi AAalayhi wa-innahu lafisqun wa-inna ashshayateenalayoohoona ila awliya-ihim liyujadilookumwa-in ataAAtumoohum innakum lamushrikoon

Saheeh International

And do not eat of that upon which the name of Allāh has not been mentioned, for indeed, it is grave disobedience. And indeed do the devils inspire their allies [among men] to dispute with you. And if you were to obey them, indeed, you would be associators [of others with Him].

6:122

اَوَمَنْ كَانَ مَیْتًا فَاَحْیَیْنٰهُ وَجَعَلْنَا لَهٗ نُوْرًا یَّمْشِیْ بِهٖ فِی النَّاسِ كَمَنْ مَّثَلُهٗ فِی الظُّلُمٰتِ لَیْسَ بِخَارِجٍ مِّنْهَا ؕ كَذٰلِكَ زُیِّنَ لِلْكٰفِرِیْنَ مَا كَانُوْا یَعْمَلُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Awa man kana maytan faahyaynahuwajaAAalna lahu nooran yamshee bihi fee annasikaman mathaluhu fee aththulumatilaysa bikharijin minha kathalika zuyyinalilkafireena ma kanoo yaAAmaloon

Saheeh International

And is one who was dead and We gave him life and made for him light by which to walk among the people like one who is in darkness, never to emerge therefrom? Thus it has been made pleasing to the disbelievers that which they were doing.

6:123

وَكَذٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا فِیْ كُلِّ قَرْیَةٍ اَكٰبِرَ مُجْرِمِیْهَا لِیَمْكُرُوْا فِیْهَا ؕ وَمَا یَمْكُرُوْنَ اِلَّا بِاَنْفُسِهِمْ وَمَا یَشْعُرُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wakathalika jaAAalna feekulli qaryatin akabira mujrimeeha liyamkuroo feehawama yamkuroona illa bi-anfusihim wamayashAAuroon

Saheeh International

And thus We have placed within every city the greatest of its criminals to conspire therein. But they conspire not except against themselves, and they perceive [it] not.

6:124

وَاِذَا جَآءَتْهُمْ اٰیَةٌ قَالُوْا لَنْ نُّؤْمِنَ حَتّٰی نُؤْتٰی مِثْلَ مَاۤ اُوْتِیَ رُسُلُ اللّٰهِ ؔۘؕ اَللّٰهُ اَعْلَمُ حَیْثُ یَجْعَلُ رِسَالَتَهٗ ؕ سَیُصِیْبُ الَّذِیْنَ اَجْرَمُوْا صَغَارٌ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ وَعَذَابٌ شَدِیْدٌۢ بِمَا كَانُوْا یَمْكُرُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wa-itha jaat-hum ayatunqaloo lan nu/mina hatta nu/ta mithlama ootiya rusulu Allahi Allahu aAAlamu haythuyajAAalu risalatahu sayuseebu allatheenaajramoo sagharun AAinda Allahi waAAathabunshadeedun bima kanoo yamkuroon

Saheeh International

And when a sign comes to them, they say, "Never will we believe until we are given like that which was given to the messengers of Allāh." Allāh is most knowing of where [i.e., with whom] He places His message. There will afflict those who committed crimes debasement before Allāh and severe punishment for what they used to conspire.

6:125

فَمَنْ یُّرِدِ اللّٰهُ اَنْ یَّهْدِیَهٗ یَشْرَحْ صَدْرَهٗ لِلْاِسْلَامِ ۚ وَمَنْ یُّرِدْ اَنْ یُّضِلَّهٗ یَجْعَلْ صَدْرَهٗ ضَیِّقًا حَرَجًا كَاَنَّمَا یَصَّعَّدُ فِی السَّمَآءِ ؕ كَذٰلِكَ یَجْعَلُ اللّٰهُ الرِّجْسَ عَلَی الَّذِیْنَ لَا یُؤْمِنُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Faman yuridi Allahu an yahdiyahuyashrah sadrahu lil-islami waman yurid an yudillahuyajAAal sadrahu dayyiqan harajan kaannamayassaAAAAadu fee assama-i kathalikayajAAalu Allahu arrijsa AAala allatheenala yu/minoon

Saheeh International

So whoever Allāh wants to guide - He expands his breast to [contain] Islām; and whoever He wants to send astray - He makes his breast tight and constricted as though he were climbing into the sky. Thus does Allāh place defilement upon those who do not believe.

6:126

وَهٰذَا صِرَاطُ رَبِّكَ مُسْتَقِیْمًا ؕ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا الْاٰیٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ یَّذَّكَّرُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wahatha siratu rabbikamustaqeeman qad fassalna al-ayatiliqawmin yaththakkaroon

Saheeh International

And this is the path of your Lord, [leading] straight. We have detailed the verses for a people who remember.

6:127

لَهُمْ دَارُ السَّلٰمِ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ وَهُوَ وَلِیُّهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوْا یَعْمَلُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Lahum daru assalamiAAinda rabbihim wahuwa waliyyuhum bima kanooyaAAmaloon

Saheeh International

For them will be the Home of Peace [i.e., Paradise] with their Lord. And He will be their protecting friend because of what they used to do.

6:128

وَیَوْمَ یَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِیْعًا ۚ یٰمَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ قَدِ اسْتَكْثَرْتُمْ مِّنَ الْاِنْسِ ۚ وَقَالَ اَوْلِیٰٓؤُهُمْ مِّنَ الْاِنْسِ رَبَّنَا اسْتَمْتَعَ بَعْضُنَا بِبَعْضٍ وَّبَلَغْنَاۤ اَجَلَنَا الَّذِیْۤ اَجَّلْتَ لَنَا ؕ قَالَ النَّارُ مَثْوٰىكُمْ خٰلِدِیْنَ فِیْهَاۤ اِلَّا مَا شَآءَ اللّٰهُ ؕ اِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِیْمٌ عَلِیْمٌ ۟

Transliteration

Wayawma yahshuruhum jameeAAan yamaAAshara aljinni qadi istakthartum mina al-insi waqalaawliyaohum mina al-insi rabbana istamtaAAa baAAdunabibaAAdin wabalaghna ajalana allatheeajjalta lana qala annaru mathwakumkhalideena feeha illa ma shaaAllahu inna rabbaka hakeemun AAaleem

Saheeh International

And [mention, O Muḥammad], the Day when He will gather them together [and say], "O company of jinn, you have [misled] many of mankind." And their allies among mankind will say, "Our Lord, some of us made use of others, and we have [now] reached our term which You appointed for us." He will say, "The Fire is your residence, wherein you will abide eternally, except for what Allāh wills. Indeed, your Lord is Wise and Knowing."

6:129

وَكَذٰلِكَ نُوَلِّیْ بَعْضَ الظّٰلِمِیْنَ بَعْضًا بِمَا كَانُوْا یَكْسِبُوْنَ ۟۠

Transliteration

Wakathalika nuwallee baAAda aththalimeenabaAAdan bima kanoo yaksiboon

Saheeh International

And thus will We make some of the wrongdoers allies of others for what they used to earn.

6:130

یٰمَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ وَالْاِنْسِ اَلَمْ یَاْتِكُمْ رُسُلٌ مِّنْكُمْ یَقُصُّوْنَ عَلَیْكُمْ اٰیٰتِیْ وَیُنْذِرُوْنَكُمْ لِقَآءَ یَوْمِكُمْ هٰذَا ؕ قَالُوْا شَهِدْنَا عَلٰۤی اَنْفُسِنَا وَغَرَّتْهُمُ الْحَیٰوةُ الدُّنْیَا وَشَهِدُوْا عَلٰۤی اَنْفُسِهِمْ اَنَّهُمْ كَانُوْا كٰفِرِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Ya maAAshara aljinni wal-insialam ya/tikum rusulun minkum yaqussoona AAalaykum ayateewayunthiroonakum liqaa yawmikum hatha qalooshahidna AAala anfusina wagharrat-humu alhayatuaddunya washahidoo AAala anfusihim annahumkanoo kafireen

Saheeh International

"O company of jinn and mankind, did there not come to you messengers from among you, relating to you My verses and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say, "We bear witness against ourselves"; and the worldly life had deluded them, and they will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers.

6:131

ذٰلِكَ اَنْ لَّمْ یَكُنْ رَّبُّكَ مُهْلِكَ الْقُرٰی بِظُلْمٍ وَّاَهْلُهَا غٰفِلُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Thalika an lam yakun rabbuka muhlikaalqura bithulmin waahluha ghafiloon

Saheeh International

That is because your Lord would not destroy the cities for wrongdoing while their people were unaware.

6:132

وَلِكُلٍّ دَرَجٰتٌ مِّمَّا عَمِلُوْا ؕ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا یَعْمَلُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Walikullin darajatun mimmaAAamiloo wama rabbuka bighafilin AAammayaAAmaloon

Saheeh International

And for all are degrees [i.e., positions resulting] from what they have done. And your Lord is not unaware of what they do.

6:133

وَرَبُّكَ الْغَنِیُّ ذُو الرَّحْمَةِ ؕ اِنْ یَّشَاْ یُذْهِبْكُمْ وَیَسْتَخْلِفْ مِنْ بَعْدِكُمْ مَّا یَشَآءُ كَمَاۤ اَنْشَاَكُمْ مِّنْ ذُرِّیَّةِ قَوْمٍ اٰخَرِیْنَ ۟ؕ

Transliteration

Warabbuka alghaniyyu thoo arrahmatiin yasha/ yuthhibkum wayastakhlif min baAAdikum mayashao kama anshaakum min thurriyyati qawminakhareen

Saheeh International

And your Lord is the Free of need, the possessor of mercy. If He wills, He can do away with you and give succession after you to whomever He wills, just as He produced you from the descendants of another people.

6:134

اِنَّ مَا تُوْعَدُوْنَ لَاٰتٍ ۙ وَّمَاۤ اَنْتُمْ بِمُعْجِزِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Inna ma tooAAadoona laatinwama antum bimuAAjizeen

Saheeh International

Indeed, what you are promised is coming, and you will not cause failure [to Allāh].

6:135

قُلْ یٰقَوْمِ اعْمَلُوْا عَلٰی مَكَانَتِكُمْ اِنِّیْ عَامِلٌ ۚ فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُوْنَ ۙ مَنْ تَكُوْنُ لَهٗ عَاقِبَةُ الدَّارِ ؕ اِنَّهٗ لَا یُفْلِحُ الظّٰلِمُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Qul ya qawmi iAAmaloo AAalamakanatikum innee AAamilun fasawfa taAAlamoona mantakoonu lahu AAaqibatu addari innahu layuflihu aththalimoon

Saheeh International

Say, "O my people, work according to your position; [for] indeed, I am working. And you are going to know who will have succession in the home. Indeed, the wrongdoers will not succeed."

6:136

وَجَعَلُوْا لِلّٰهِ مِمَّا ذَرَاَ مِنَ الْحَرْثِ وَالْاَنْعَامِ نَصِیْبًا فَقَالُوْا هٰذَا لِلّٰهِ بِزَعْمِهِمْ وَهٰذَا لِشُرَكَآىِٕنَا ۚ فَمَا كَانَ لِشُرَكَآىِٕهِمْ فَلَا یَصِلُ اِلَی اللّٰهِ ۚ وَمَا كَانَ لِلّٰهِ فَهُوَ یَصِلُ اِلٰی شُرَكَآىِٕهِمْ ؕ سَآءَ مَا یَحْكُمُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

WajaAAaloo lillahi mimma tharaamina alharthi wal-anAAami naseebanfaqaloo hatha lillahi bizaAAmihim wahathalishuraka-ina fama kana lishuraka-ihimfala yasilu ila Allahi wama kanalillahi fahuwa yasilu ila shuraka-ihimsaa ma yahkumoon

Saheeh International

And they [i.e., the polytheists] assign to Allāh from that which He created of crops and livestock a share and say, "This is for Allāh," by their claim, "and this is for our 'partners' [associated with Him]." But what is for their "partners" does not reach Allāh, while what is for Allāh - this reaches their "partners." Evil is that which they rule.

6:137

وَكَذٰلِكَ زَیَّنَ لِكَثِیْرٍ مِّنَ الْمُشْرِكِیْنَ قَتْلَ اَوْلَادِهِمْ شُرَكَآؤُهُمْ لِیُرْدُوْهُمْ وَلِیَلْبِسُوْا عَلَیْهِمْ دِیْنَهُمْ ؕ وَلَوْ شَآءَ اللّٰهُ مَا فَعَلُوْهُ فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا یَفْتَرُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Wakathalika zayyana likatheerin minaalmushrikeena qatla awladihim shurakaohumliyurdoohum waliyalbisoo AAalayhim deenahum walaw shaa Allahuma faAAaloohu fatharhum wama yaftaroon

Saheeh International

And likewise, to many of the polytheists their partners have made [to seem] pleasing the killing of their children in order to bring about their destruction and to cover them with confusion in their religion. And if Allāh had willed, they would not have done so. So leave them and that which they invent.

6:138

وَقَالُوْا هٰذِهٖۤ اَنْعَامٌ وَّحَرْثٌ حِجْرٌ ۖۗ لَّا یَطْعَمُهَاۤ اِلَّا مَنْ نَّشَآءُ بِزَعْمِهِمْ وَاَنْعَامٌ حُرِّمَتْ ظُهُوْرُهَا وَاَنْعَامٌ لَّا یَذْكُرُوْنَ اسْمَ اللّٰهِ عَلَیْهَا افْتِرَآءً عَلَیْهِ ؕ سَیَجْزِیْهِمْ بِمَا كَانُوْا یَفْتَرُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Waqaloo hathihi anAAamunwaharthun hijrun la yatAAamuhailla man nashao bizaAAmihim waanAAamun hurrimatthuhooruha waanAAamun la yathkuroonaisma Allahi AAalayha iftiraan AAalayhisayajzeehim bima kanoo yaftaroon

Saheeh International

And they say, "These animals and crops are forbidden; no one may eat from them except whom we will," by their claim. And there are those [camels] whose backs are forbidden [by them] and those upon which the name of Allāh is not mentioned - [all of this] an invention of untruth about Him. He will punish them for what they were inventing.

6:139

وَقَالُوْا مَا فِیْ بُطُوْنِ هٰذِهِ الْاَنْعَامِ خَالِصَةٌ لِّذُكُوْرِنَا وَمُحَرَّمٌ عَلٰۤی اَزْوَاجِنَا ۚ وَاِنْ یَّكُنْ مَّیْتَةً فَهُمْ فِیْهِ شُرَكَآءُ ؕ سَیَجْزِیْهِمْ وَصْفَهُمْ ؕ اِنَّهٗ حَكِیْمٌ عَلِیْمٌ ۟

Transliteration

Waqaloo ma fee butoonihathihi al-anAAami khalisatun lithukoorinawamuharramun AAala azwajina wa-inyakun maytatan fahum feehi shurakao sayajzeehim wasfahuminnahu hakeemun AAaleem

Saheeh International

And they say, "What is in the bellies of these animals is exclusively for our males and forbidden to our females. But if it is [born] dead, then all of them have shares therein." He will punish them for their description. Indeed, He is Wise and Knowing.

6:140

قَدْ خَسِرَ الَّذِیْنَ قَتَلُوْۤا اَوْلَادَهُمْ سَفَهًا بِغَیْرِ عِلْمٍ وَّحَرَّمُوْا مَا رَزَقَهُمُ اللّٰهُ افْتِرَآءً عَلَی اللّٰهِ ؕ قَدْ ضَلُّوْا وَمَا كَانُوْا مُهْتَدِیْنَ ۟۠

Transliteration

Qad khasira allatheena qataloo awladahumsafahan bighayri AAilmin waharramoo ma razaqahumuAllahu iftiraan AAala Allahi qad dalloowama kanoo muhtadeen

Saheeh International

They will have lost who killed their children in foolishness without knowledge and prohibited what Allāh had provided for them, inventing untruth about Allāh. They have gone astray and were not [rightly] guided.

6:141

وَهُوَ الَّذِیْۤ اَنْشَاَ جَنّٰتٍ مَّعْرُوْشٰتٍ وَّغَیْرَ مَعْرُوْشٰتٍ وَّالنَّخْلَ وَالزَّرْعَ مُخْتَلِفًا اُكُلُهٗ وَالزَّیْتُوْنَ وَالرُّمَّانَ مُتَشَابِهًا وَّغَیْرَ مُتَشَابِهٍ ؕ كُلُوْا مِنْ ثَمَرِهٖۤ اِذَاۤ اَثْمَرَ وَاٰتُوْا حَقَّهٗ یَوْمَ حَصَادِهٖ ۖؗ وَلَا تُسْرِفُوْا ؕ اِنَّهٗ لَا یُحِبُّ الْمُسْرِفِیْنَ ۟ۙ

Transliteration

Wahuwa allathee anshaa jannatinmaAArooshatin waghayra maAArooshatin wannakhlawazzarAAa mukhtalifan okuluhu wazzaytoona warrummanamutashabihan waghayra mutashabihin kuloo minthamarihi itha athmara waatoo haqqahu yawma hasadihiwala tusrifoo innahu la yuhibbu almusrifeen

Saheeh International

And He it is who causes gardens to grow, [both] trellised and untrellised, and palm trees and crops of different [kinds of] food and olives and pomegranates, similar and dissimilar. Eat of [each of] its fruit when it yields and give its due [zakāh] on the day of its harvest. And be not excessive. Indeed, He does not like those who commit excess.

6:142

وَمِنَ الْاَنْعَامِ حَمُوْلَةً وَّفَرْشًا ؕ كُلُوْا مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللّٰهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوْا خُطُوٰتِ الشَّیْطٰنِ ؕ اِنَّهٗ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِیْنٌ ۟ۙ

Transliteration

Wamina al-anAAami hamoolatanwafarshan kuloo mimma razaqakumu Allahu walatattabiAAoo khutuwati ashshaytaniinnahu lakum AAaduwwun mubeen

Saheeh International

And of the grazing livestock are carriers [of burdens] and those [too] small. Eat of what Allāh has provided for you and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.

6:143

ثَمٰنِیَةَ اَزْوَاجٍ ۚ مِنَ الضَّاْنِ اثْنَیْنِ وَمِنَ الْمَعْزِ اثْنَیْنِ ؕ قُلْ ءٰٓالذَّكَرَیْنِ حَرَّمَ اَمِ الْاُنْثَیَیْنِ اَمَّا اشْتَمَلَتْ عَلَیْهِ اَرْحَامُ الْاُنْثَیَیْنِ ؕ نَبِّـُٔوْنِیْ بِعِلْمٍ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صٰدِقِیْنَ ۟ۙ

Transliteration

Thamaniyata azwajin mina adda/niithnayni wamina almaAAzi ithnayni qul aththakarayniharrama ami alonthayayni amma ishtamalat AAalayhiarhamu alonthayayni nabbi-oonee biAAilmin in kuntum sadiqeen

Saheeh International

[They are] eight mates - of the sheep, two and of the goats, two. Say, "Is it the two males He has forbidden or the two females or that which the wombs of the two females contain? Inform me with knowledge, if you should be truthful."

6:144

وَمِنَ الْاِبِلِ اثْنَیْنِ وَمِنَ الْبَقَرِ اثْنَیْنِ ؕ قُلْ ءٰٓالذَّكَرَیْنِ حَرَّمَ اَمِ الْاُنْثَیَیْنِ اَمَّا اشْتَمَلَتْ عَلَیْهِ اَرْحَامُ الْاُنْثَیَیْنِ ؕ اَمْ كُنْتُمْ شُهَدَآءَ اِذْ وَصّٰىكُمُ اللّٰهُ بِهٰذَا ۚ فَمَنْ اَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرٰی عَلَی اللّٰهِ كَذِبًا لِّیُضِلَّ النَّاسَ بِغَیْرِ عِلْمٍ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا یَهْدِی الْقَوْمَ الظّٰلِمِیْنَ ۟۠

Transliteration

Wamina al-ibili ithnayni wamina albaqariithnayni qul aththakarayni harramaami alonthayayni amma ishtamalat AAalayhi arhamualonthayayni am kuntum shuhadaa ith wassakumuAllahu bihatha faman athlamu mimmaniiftara AAala Allahi kathiban liyudillaannasa bighayri AAilmin inna Allaha layahdee alqawma aththalimeen

Saheeh International

And of the camels, two and of the cattle, two. Say, "Is it the two males He has forbidden or the two females or that which the wombs of the two females contain? Or were you witnesses when Allāh charged you with this? Then who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allāh to mislead the people by [something] other than knowledge? Indeed, Allāh does not guide the wrongdoing people."

6:145

قُلْ لَّاۤ اَجِدُ فِیْ مَاۤ اُوْحِیَ اِلَیَّ مُحَرَّمًا عَلٰی طَاعِمٍ یَّطْعَمُهٗۤ اِلَّاۤ اَنْ یَّكُوْنَ مَیْتَةً اَوْ دَمًا مَّسْفُوْحًا اَوْ لَحْمَ خِنْزِیْرٍ فَاِنَّهٗ رِجْسٌ اَوْ فِسْقًا اُهِلَّ لِغَیْرِ اللّٰهِ بِهٖ ۚ فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ غَیْرَ بَاغٍ وَّلَا عَادٍ فَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِیْمٌ ۟

Transliteration

Qul la ajidu feema oohiyailayya muharraman AAala taAAimin yatAAamuhuilla an yakoona maytatan aw daman masfoohan aw lahmakhinzeerin fa-innahu rijsun aw fisqan ohilla lighayri Allahibihi famani idturra ghayra baghin wala AAadinfa-inna rabbaka ghafoorun raheem

Saheeh International

Say, "I do not find within that which was revealed to me [anything] forbidden to one who would eat it unless it be a dead animal or blood spilled out or the flesh of swine - for indeed, it is impure - or it be [that slaughtered in] disobedience, dedicated to other than Allāh. But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit], then indeed, your Lord is Forgiving and Merciful."

6:146

وَعَلَی الَّذِیْنَ هَادُوْا حَرَّمْنَا كُلَّ ذِیْ ظُفُرٍ ۚ وَمِنَ الْبَقَرِ وَالْغَنَمِ حَرَّمْنَا عَلَیْهِمْ شُحُوْمَهُمَاۤ اِلَّا مَا حَمَلَتْ ظُهُوْرُهُمَاۤ اَوِ الْحَوَایَاۤ اَوْ مَا اخْتَلَطَ بِعَظْمٍ ؕ ذٰلِكَ جَزَیْنٰهُمْ بِبَغْیِهِمْ ۖؗ وَاِنَّا لَصٰدِقُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

WaAAala allatheena hadooharramna kulla thee thufurinwamina albaqari walghanami harramnaAAalayhim shuhoomahuma illa ma hamalatthuhooruhuma awi alhawayaaw ma ikhtalata biAAathmin thalikajazaynahum bibaghyihim wa-inna lasadiqoon

Saheeh International

And to those who are Jews We prohibited every animal of uncloven hoof; and of the cattle and the sheep We prohibited to them their fat, except what adheres to their backs or the entrails or what is joined with bone. [By] that We repaid them for their transgression. And indeed, We are truthful.

6:147

فَاِنْ كَذَّبُوْكَ فَقُلْ رَّبُّكُمْ ذُوْ رَحْمَةٍ وَّاسِعَةٍ ۚ وَلَا یُرَدُّ بَاْسُهٗ عَنِ الْقَوْمِ الْمُجْرِمِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Fa-in kaththabooka faqul rabbukum thoorahmatin wasiAAatin wala yuraddu ba/suhuAAani alqawmi almujrimeen

Saheeh International

So if they deny you, [O Muḥammad], say, "Your Lord is the possessor of vast mercy; but His punishment cannot be repelled from the people who are criminals."

6:148

سَیَقُوْلُ الَّذِیْنَ اَشْرَكُوْا لَوْ شَآءَ اللّٰهُ مَاۤ اَشْرَكْنَا وَلَاۤ اٰبَآؤُنَا وَلَا حَرَّمْنَا مِنْ شَیْءٍ ؕ كَذٰلِكَ كَذَّبَ الَّذِیْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ حَتّٰی ذَاقُوْا بَاْسَنَا ؕ قُلْ هَلْ عِنْدَكُمْ مِّنْ عِلْمٍ فَتُخْرِجُوْهُ لَنَا ؕ اِنْ تَتَّبِعُوْنَ اِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَاِنْ اَنْتُمْ اِلَّا تَخْرُصُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Sayaqoolu allatheena ashrakoo law shaaAllahu ma ashrakna wala abaonawala harramna min shay-in kathalikakaththaba allatheena min qablihim hattathaqoo ba/sana qul hal AAindakum min AAilminfatukhrijoohu lana in tattabiAAoona illa aththannawa-in antum illa takhrusoon

Saheeh International

Those who associated [others] with Allāh will say, "If Allāh had willed, we would not have associated [anything] and neither would our fathers, nor would we have prohibited anything." Likewise did those before deny until they tasted Our punishment. Say, "Do you have any knowledge that you can produce for us? You follow not except assumption, and you are not but misjudging."

6:149

قُلْ فَلِلّٰهِ الْحُجَّةُ الْبَالِغَةُ ۚ فَلَوْ شَآءَ لَهَدٰىكُمْ اَجْمَعِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Qul falillahi alhujjatu albalighatufalaw shaa lahadakum ajmaAAeen

Saheeh International

Say, "With Allāh is the far-reaching [i.e., conclusive] argument. If He had willed, He would have guided you all."

6:150

قُلْ هَلُمَّ شُهَدَآءَكُمُ الَّذِیْنَ یَشْهَدُوْنَ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ حَرَّمَ هٰذَا ۚ فَاِنْ شَهِدُوْا فَلَا تَشْهَدْ مَعَهُمْ ۚ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ اَهْوَآءَ الَّذِیْنَ كَذَّبُوْا بِاٰیٰتِنَا وَالَّذِیْنَ لَا یُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِالْاٰخِرَةِ وَهُمْ بِرَبِّهِمْ یَعْدِلُوْنَ ۟۠

Transliteration

Qul halumma shuhadaakumu allatheenayashhadoona anna Allaha harrama hatha fa-inshahidoo fala tashhad maAAahum wala tattabiAA ahwaaallatheena kaththaboo bi-ayatinawallatheena la yu/minoona bil-akhiratiwahum birabbihim yaAAdiloon

Saheeh International

Say, [O Muḥammad], "Bring forward your witnesses who will testify that Allāh has prohibited this." And if they testify, do not testify with them. And do not follow the desires of those who deny Our verses and those who do not believe in the Hereafter, while they equate [others] with their Lord.

6:151

قُلْ تَعَالَوْا اَتْلُ مَا حَرَّمَ رَبُّكُمْ عَلَیْكُمْ اَلَّا تُشْرِكُوْا بِهٖ شَیْـًٔا وَّبِالْوَالِدَیْنِ اِحْسَانًا ۚ وَلَا تَقْتُلُوْۤا اَوْلَادَكُمْ مِّنْ اِمْلَاقٍ ؕ نَحْنُ نَرْزُقُكُمْ وَاِیَّاهُمْ ۚ وَلَا تَقْرَبُوا الْفَوَاحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ ۚ وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا النَّفْسَ الَّتِیْ حَرَّمَ اللّٰهُ اِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ ؕ ذٰلِكُمْ وَصّٰىكُمْ بِهٖ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Qul taAAalaw atlu ma harramarabbukum AAalaykum alla tushrikoo bihi shay-an wabilwalidayniihsanan wala taqtuloo awladakum minimlaqin nahnu narzuqukum wa-iyyahum walataqraboo alfawahisha ma thahara minhawama batana wala taqtuloo annafsaallatee harrama Allahu illa bilhaqqithalikum wassakum bihi laAAallakum taAAqiloon

Saheeh International

Say, "Come, I will recite what your Lord has prohibited to you. [He commands] that you not associate anything with Him, and to parents, good treatment, and do not kill your children out of poverty; We will provide for you and them. And do not approach immoralities - what is apparent of them and what is concealed. And do not kill the soul which Allāh has forbidden [to be killed] except by [legal] right. This has He instructed you that you may use reason."

6:152

وَلَا تَقْرَبُوْا مَالَ الْیَتِیْمِ اِلَّا بِالَّتِیْ هِیَ اَحْسَنُ حَتّٰی یَبْلُغَ اَشُدَّهٗ ۚ وَاَوْفُوا الْكَیْلَ وَالْمِیْزَانَ بِالْقِسْطِ ۚ لَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا اِلَّا وُسْعَهَا ۚ وَاِذَا قُلْتُمْ فَاعْدِلُوْا وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبٰی ۚ وَبِعَهْدِ اللّٰهِ اَوْفُوْا ؕ ذٰلِكُمْ وَصّٰىكُمْ بِهٖ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُوْنَ ۟ۙ

Transliteration

Wala taqraboo mala alyateemiilla billatee hiya ahsanu hattayablugha ashuddahu waawfoo alkayla walmeezana bilqistila nukallifu nafsan illa wusAAaha wa-ithaqultum faAAdiloo walaw kana tha qurbawabiAAahdi Allahi awfoo thalikum wassakumbihi laAAallakum tathakkaroon

Saheeh International

And do not approach the orphan's property except in a way that is best [i.e., intending improvement] until he reaches maturity. And give full measure and weight in justice. We do not charge any soul except [with that within] its capacity. And when you speak [i.e., testify], be just, even if [it concerns] a near relative. And the covenant of Allāh fulfill. This has He instructed you that you may remember.

6:153

وَاَنَّ هٰذَا صِرَاطِیْ مُسْتَقِیْمًا فَاتَّبِعُوْهُ ۚ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا السُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمْ عَنْ سَبِیْلِهٖ ؕ ذٰلِكُمْ وَصّٰىكُمْ بِهٖ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Waanna hatha sirateemustaqeeman fattabiAAoohu wala tattabiAAoo assubulafatafarraqa bikum AAan sabeelihi thalikum wassakumbihi laAAallakum tattaqoon

Saheeh International

And, [moreover], this is My path, which is straight, so follow it; and do not follow [other] ways, for you will be separated from His way. This has He instructed you that you may become righteous.

6:154

ثُمَّ اٰتَیْنَا مُوْسَی الْكِتٰبَ تَمَامًا عَلَی الَّذِیْۤ اَحْسَنَ وَتَفْصِیْلًا لِّكُلِّ شَیْءٍ وَّهُدًی وَّرَحْمَةً لَّعَلَّهُمْ بِلِقَآءِ رَبِّهِمْ یُؤْمِنُوْنَ ۟۠

Transliteration

Thumma atayna moosaalkitaba tamaman AAala allathee ahsanawatafseelan likulli shay-in wahudan warahmatanlaAAallahum biliqa-i rabbihim yu/minoon

Saheeh International

Then We gave Moses the Scripture, making complete [Our favor] upon the one who did good [i.e., Moses] and as a detailed explanation of all things and as guidance and mercy that perhaps in the meeting with their Lord they would believe.

6:155

وَهٰذَا كِتٰبٌ اَنْزَلْنٰهُ مُبٰرَكٌ فَاتَّبِعُوْهُ وَاتَّقُوْا لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُوْنَ ۟ۙ

Transliteration

Wahatha kitabun anzalnahumubarakun fattabiAAoohu wattaqoolaAAallakum turhamoon

Saheeh International

And this [Qur’ān] is a Book We have revealed [which is] blessed, so follow it and fear Allāh that you may receive mercy.

6:156

اَنْ تَقُوْلُوْۤا اِنَّمَاۤ اُنْزِلَ الْكِتٰبُ عَلٰی طَآىِٕفَتَیْنِ مِنْ قَبْلِنَا ۪ وَاِنْ كُنَّا عَنْ دِرَاسَتِهِمْ لَغٰفِلِیْنَ ۟ۙ

Transliteration

An taqooloo innama onzila alkitabuAAala ta-ifatayni min qablina wa-in kunnaAAan dirasatihim laghafileen

Saheeh International

[We revealed it] lest you say, "The Scripture was only sent down to two groups before us, but we were of their study unaware,"

6:157

اَوْ تَقُوْلُوْا لَوْ اَنَّاۤ اُنْزِلَ عَلَیْنَا الْكِتٰبُ لَكُنَّاۤ اَهْدٰی مِنْهُمْ ۚ فَقَدْ جَآءَكُمْ بَیِّنَةٌ مِّنْ رَّبِّكُمْ وَهُدًی وَّرَحْمَةٌ ۚ فَمَنْ اَظْلَمُ مِمَّنْ كَذَّبَ بِاٰیٰتِ اللّٰهِ وَصَدَفَ عَنْهَا ؕ سَنَجْزِی الَّذِیْنَ یَصْدِفُوْنَ عَنْ اٰیٰتِنَا سُوْٓءَ الْعَذَابِ بِمَا كَانُوْا یَصْدِفُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Aw taqooloo law anna onzila AAalaynaalkitabu lakunna ahda minhum faqad jaakumbayyinatun min rabbikum wahudan warahmatun faman athlamumimman kaththaba bi-ayati Allahi wasadafaAAanha sanajzee allatheena yasdifoona AAan ayatinasoo-a alAAathabi bima kanoo yasdifoon

Saheeh International

Or lest you say, "If only the Scripture had been revealed to us, we would have been better guided than they." So there has [now] come to you a clear evidence from your Lord and a guidance and mercy. Then who is more unjust than one who denies the verses of Allāh and turns away from them? We will recompense those who turn away from Our verses with the worst of punishment for their having turned away.

6:158

هَلْ یَنْظُرُوْنَ اِلَّاۤ اَنْ تَاْتِیَهُمُ الْمَلٰٓىِٕكَةُ اَوْ یَاْتِیَ رَبُّكَ اَوْ یَاْتِیَ بَعْضُ اٰیٰتِ رَبِّكَ ؕ یَوْمَ یَاْتِیْ بَعْضُ اٰیٰتِ رَبِّكَ لَا یَنْفَعُ نَفْسًا اِیْمَانُهَا لَمْ تَكُنْ اٰمَنَتْ مِنْ قَبْلُ اَوْ كَسَبَتْ فِیْۤ اِیْمَانِهَا خَیْرًا ؕ قُلِ انْتَظِرُوْۤا اِنَّا مُنْتَظِرُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Hal yanthuroona illaan ta/tiyahumu almala-ikatu aw ya/tiya rabbuka aw ya/tiyabaAAdu ayati rabbika yawma ya/tee baAAduayati rabbika la yanfaAAu nafsan eemanuhalam takun amanat min qablu aw kasabat fee eemanihakhayran quli intathiroo inna muntathiroon

Saheeh International

Do they [then] wait for anything except that the angels should come to them or your Lord should come or that there come some of the signs of your Lord? The Day that some of the signs of your Lord will come no soul will benefit from its faith as long as it had not believed before or had earned through its faith some good. Say, "Wait. Indeed, we [also] are waiting."

6:159

اِنَّ الَّذِیْنَ فَرَّقُوْا دِیْنَهُمْ وَكَانُوْا شِیَعًا لَّسْتَ مِنْهُمْ فِیْ شَیْءٍ ؕ اِنَّمَاۤ اَمْرُهُمْ اِلَی اللّٰهِ ثُمَّ یُنَبِّئُهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوْا یَفْعَلُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Inna allatheena farraqoo deenahumwakanoo shiyaAAan lasta minhum fee shay-in innamaamruhum ila Allahi thumma yunabbi-ohum bimakanoo yafAAaloon

Saheeh International

Indeed, those who have divided their religion and become sects - you, [O Muḥammad], are not [associated] with them in anything. Their affair is only [left] to Allāh; then He will inform them about what they used to do.

6:160

مَنْ جَآءَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ فَلَهٗ عَشْرُ اَمْثَالِهَا ۚ وَمَنْ جَآءَ بِالسَّیِّئَةِ فَلَا یُجْزٰۤی اِلَّا مِثْلَهَا وَهُمْ لَا یُظْلَمُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Man jaa bilhasanatifalahu AAashru amthaliha waman jaa bissayyi-atifala yujza illa mithlaha wahum layuthlamoon

Saheeh International

Whoever comes [on the Day of Judgement] with a good deed will have ten times the like thereof [to his credit], and whoever comes with an evil deed will not be recompensed except the like thereof; and they will not be wronged.

6:161

قُلْ اِنَّنِیْ هَدٰىنِیْ رَبِّیْۤ اِلٰی صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِیْمٍ ۚ۬ دِیْنًا قِیَمًا مِّلَّةَ اِبْرٰهِیْمَ حَنِیْفًا ۚ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Qul innanee hadanee rabbee ilasiratin mustaqeemin deenan qiyaman millata ibraheemahaneefan wama kana mina almushrikeen

Saheeh International

Say, "Indeed, my Lord has guided me to a straight path - a correct religion - the way of Abraham, inclining toward truth. And he was not among those who associated others with Allāh."

6:162

قُلْ اِنَّ صَلَاتِیْ وَنُسُكِیْ وَمَحْیَایَ وَمَمَاتِیْ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِیْنَ ۟ۙ

Transliteration

Qul inna salatee wanusukeewamahyaya wamamatee lillahi rabbialAAalameen

Saheeh International

Say, "Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allāh, Lord of the worlds.

6:163

لَا شَرِیْكَ لَهٗ ۚ وَبِذٰلِكَ اُمِرْتُ وَاَنَا اَوَّلُ الْمُسْلِمِیْنَ ۟

Transliteration

La shareeka lahu wabithalikaomirtu waana awwalu almuslimeen

Saheeh International

No partner has He. And this I have been commanded, and I am the first [among you] of the Muslims."

6:164

قُلْ اَغَیْرَ اللّٰهِ اَبْغِیْ رَبًّا وَّهُوَ رَبُّ كُلِّ شَیْءٍ ؕ وَلَا تَكْسِبُ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ اِلَّا عَلَیْهَا ۚ وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِّزْرَ اُخْرٰی ۚ ثُمَّ اِلٰی رَبِّكُمْ مَّرْجِعُكُمْ فَیُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ فِیْهِ تَخْتَلِفُوْنَ ۟

Transliteration

Qul aghayra Allahi abghee rabbanwahuwa rabbu kulli shay-in wala taksibu kullu nafsin illaAAalayha wala taziru waziratun wizra okhrathumma ila rabbikum marjiAAukum fayunabbi-okum bimakuntum feehi takhtalifoon

Saheeh International

Say, "Is it other than Allāh I should desire as a lord while He is the Lord of all things? And every soul earns not [blame] except against itself, and no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. Then to your Lord is your return, and He will inform you concerning that over which you used to differ."

6:165

وَهُوَ الَّذِیْ جَعَلَكُمْ خَلٰٓىِٕفَ الْاَرْضِ وَرَفَعَ بَعْضَكُمْ فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ دَرَجٰتٍ لِّیَبْلُوَكُمْ فِیْ مَاۤ اٰتٰىكُمْ ؕ اِنَّ رَبَّكَ سَرِیْعُ الْعِقَابِ ۖؗ وَاِنَّهٗ لَغَفُوْرٌ رَّحِیْمٌ ۟۠

Transliteration

Wahuwa allathee jaAAalakum khala-ifaal-ardi warafaAAa baAAdakum fawqa baAAdindarajatin liyabluwakum fee ma atakuminna rabbaka sareeAAu alAAiqabi wa-innahu laghafoorun raheem

Saheeh International

And it is He who has made you successors upon the earth and has raised some of you above others in degrees [of rank] that He may try you through what He has given you. Indeed, your Lord is swift in penalty; but indeed, He is Forgiving and Merciful.
